Hello. Mike Brubacher said "Test as slow as possible." Only then can you test accurately. The faster you test, the lower your results will be. And the better the deburring, the smaller the score deviation. I uploaded video a few days ago. You can see that the deviation is no more than 5 BESS.

Yes, the tension on the line is NOT stable. Pull it out, tighten first knob,then wrap one tine around second post and tighten. Zero before and after you put the line holder on the scale. DON'T hold the tip of knife with your finger.

I showed the guy he couldn't say that it was repeatable so I don't care I sent it back save myself some money don't really need it anyhow.

Did you call the factory to discuss this problem with them? Which one is this, A, B or C?

there is nothing wrong with that equipment! I have been testing fishing line with japanese testers for years and the results are all over the place even for VARIVAS and SUNLINE. There is a guy who examines those lines under a microscope and the diameter of the line can have significant variance. The surface of the line is also not completely homogeneous. If you see your knife under a microscope you will be disgusted, it will look like a saw! Both the line strength will vary and the sharpness of the exact spot of you knife will vary. I will admit that is too much variance for that line alone, some of that variance is coming from your knife for sure

it's a blade edge tester not a fishing line tester. The line they provide isn't fishing line. But I get what you're sayin'. Yes, I have a microscope camera. The deal is I sent this video to do company rep. and said how can your machine be so inconsistant? Basically had no answer. Sent machine back for a full refund. I'll do my own benchmark, and it did n't cost $150

too much inconsistency to be reliable.

that's the point I made the company rep that I sent this video to back last year I think it was I just forgot to publish this video. everybody should know my benchmark by now. whittling a hair!!! blade that buck 110 whittle hair!!

Faulty product or maybe you just did not sharpen the knife as well as you thought you did.
