For strongman/Hercules hold type events, yes certainly. But, there are many ways to measure grip, and Mark is mostly just great at one of them.

Mark Felix looks like he is waiting for the bus. Almost a little bit bored while the other guys look like their heads are about to explode. :-D

If they would lift alone Felix was the clear winner. You never give something for two guys to lift... always the blame will go to one of them. Thats why you make them lift something half this weight one by one. Felix wins this.

My dad used to enter competitions like this. He once picked up the back end of my mom's car until they changed the tire. Unfortunately he fell 2 stories and landed on his wrist, completely shattered it. He gave up after that. I always wondered how far he could have gone if he didn't fall.
