Brilliant lyrics by Eminem, and an incredibly haunting, powerful, emotional, heart-thumping performance by Kasey. Her interpretation is sublime. Props to the terrific band too.

Must say it's the first time I actually heard the lyrics so clear. Kasey brought us softly into Eminem's early struggles all the angst etc....but the finale was just explosive...I think she did Eminem proud.

I have never heard of the song nor have listened to Eminem until I heard this amazing cover by Kasey Chambers. She introduced me to Eminem's brilliant songwriting skill. Kasey's musical creativity shines through.

Great review. The guy on the lap steel guitar is her father Bill she started her career as part of a family band called the Dead Ringer Band in 1992. Since going solo in 1998 Kasey has released over 12 studio albums 5 of them peaking at No1 on the ARIA charts she was also inducted into Australias ARIA hall of fame. Believe me you are going down a rabbit hole with her music. You should check out some of her other videos eg, Aint No little Girl (Tennessee Underground or the official video) , Not Pretty Enough, and one I like that shows her versatility is her cover of 7 Nation Army probably the one done in Cleveland. There are plenty of other good videos around to choose from.

Kasey is phenomenal and this has to be one her greatest ever performances. ❤ We in Aus love Kasey to bits and we know how damned hard she has struggled as an artist who is different/unique, hence why Marshall’s lyrics hit so hard with her and why her version of this song is so phenomenal! Kasey ensures that the lyrics are the focus, no matter what else is happening. We are so proud of our Kasey for everything she has achieved in her life!! This is the icing on the cake so far….much more to come from Kasey though. Oh….that banjo shredding has to one of the best things ever and Kasey’s Dad, Bill, on that slide is just killing it!!! Marshall (Eminem) is an awesome songwriter and lyricist, as well as a great performer but Kasey has taken this song and made it her own, it belongs to her now. Just really, really sad that Marshall hasn’t yet publicly commented on Kasey’s take on one of his greatest hits. 😢

Hi guys. Great reaction. Her brother was the other guitarist and father on lap steel. Eminem listened to this and loved it. She got permission to have it stream in her Spotify because he thought her version was so good

Great review. When ever i see Kasey in reminds me of where she was brought up on west coast of south australia where best surf at Cactus beach is. So islolated but the scenery . What a swell and experience. Anyhow what a cover. Greatness

Great reaction.. can you please react to cold chisel who are considered best band in Australia ahead of AC/DC and INXS. Also cold chisels lead singer is Jimmy Barnes who also has a great solo career and does a great duet with John Farnham “something is wrong with my baby” Jimmy also does duets with INXS “good times” and Tina Turner “simply the the best” Jimmy singing “a change is gonna come” is epic and cold chisel singing songs such as “flame trees” “bow river” “khe sahn” “Choir girl” “wild thing” “When the war is over” “Forever now” “Saturday night” And many more including a f*ck you to the US music industry who wanted to change them so they came home and wrote a hit song called “you’ve got nothing I want “
