I really loved Ed’s reaction when Brewer showed up with this pile of rust. And, as usual the Tall Man uses his skill to transform the car into a classic. Ed China was the reason everyone watched Wheeler Dealers, with Ed gone, I no longer watched the show.

It’s always such a joy to watch this passionate genius at work. Edd is totally in a class of his own..

Oh yes , he was always the star of the show , not Mike Brewer . And what did Mike call him when he decided to call it a day , " A Traitor " , not thank you for all your efforts , or I respect your decision , Mike Brewer actually called Ed China a Traitor , nasty , nasty , nasty .

Always liked Edd but all the mechanics on WD have their strengths and weaknesses so the sheep that decry everything after Edd are just complete tossers and should just give it a rest.

Good day Ed i am a 77 Year old man from Durban South Africa. A little disappointed in that you didn't take the motor out of the car and give it a good cleaning and then paint. I cut my teeth on Mimi crankshaft and build up a lot i love your way of working

I have the greatest respect for Edd. i wonder how many days it took for him to prepare it :)

Cleaning up the engine bay first would be more sensible. My first Mini was Almond Green as this seems to be.

My '63 Austin Mini was white and just one year old. I loved how you could sling that thing around bends. I eventually fitted Mintex rally brake linings to cure the severe brake fade and ultimately got a competition licence, joined a motor sport club and took it sprinting,anywhere from Curborough to Silverstone club circuit. I never had any success but, boy, did I have fun?! Sadly, the dreaded ferrous beetle took hold in 1972 and I donated her to my local sec. school to use as a teaching aid in vehicle studies classes.

Well if I was doing this restoration job I would definitely have taken the engine out stripped everything off it then painted it and fitted a new clutch while the car was at the paint shop so the engine bay was as pristine as the bodywork

I had one my first car 850 engine wheel spacers and spats on the back push button start that was about 1972 I also had a 650 Triumph thunderbird paid £30 for it great days ✌

That's a 1967-68 number plate so this must have been filmed in 1997. The car would now be 54 yo.

Ed China was the only reason why I ever watched Wheeler Dealers "Ant" is a great mechanic also but Ed explained things more clearly and concentrated on explaining what was particularly important. Mike Brewer. is an annoying narcissist and he could not get along with Ed. So he was eliminated for Ant who now seem to be fed up with Mike also IMO, Ed should be given his own show.. Who needs a narcissist like Mike anyway? .

30 years old? UK F registration is 1967 so unless I am Rip Van Winkle, the car is 54 years old!

I am restoring a 1968 model Mini. I need 2 master cylinders one each for the brake and another for the clutch. I am 91 yrs old ang my hobby is to repair machines. Anybody who can share the source of the parts I need? Maybe Edd can help.

This episode aired in 2003, probably filmed in 2002, therefore at that time the car was ~ 35 years old, so Ed is correct stating over 30 years old.

Good video, however this Mini ain't 30 years old! Haha Wonder where this car is now, its been off the road for a while.

No to black for rocker cover, head n block. Wrong. Should be green.

I remember that episode Edd China didn't have the body pulling kit I distinctly remember the amount of body filler he used to fill in a deep dint Edd China a complete cowboy when he comes to the bodywork in fact most classics he did didn't turn out well I remember the mk3 Capri what a balls up he made I'd have kicked his sorry arse down the road if he had worked for me

I blame the production company for being so tight. If Edd had his own way he would have got a new door for the Mini and have the wings on the mk3 Capri professionally done.

I wonder when this was made? That mini is worth a fortune now if it still exists in reasonable condition; my '67 F was already totally rotten in 1978

Same, I had a '67 F Mini 850, the same Green colour, in 1981 and yes it was full of rust. Ended up scrapping it.

Your a lucky man not remembering the man who's name we shall not speak.

MIke Brewer reminds me of the typical car dealer on the street corner who buys a Fiesta for £300, cleans it and does a bit of paint and sells it for £1200. Using key phrases such as "interior in good condition with no rips or tears", "lovely example", "lady owner", "service on purchase", Best avoided generally and go and buy private. The "cockney boy" attitude is just too cringe as well.

Quando Raffa mia madre mi parlava di una sua compagna d'università di Ortona (CH) che studiava lettere a Chieti quando negl'anni '70 la facoltà di lettere era a Chieti alta dove poi l'hanno chiusa questa compagna d'università di mia madre Raffa aveva la vecchia Mini e questa ragazza veniva da una famiglia benestante e accompagnava mia madre con questa Rover Mini, mia madre diceva che questa macchina era talmente bassa che quando ci si sedeva sembrava che si pregava questa ragazza poi ebbe un tumore e morì

That was a rust bucket and probably the worst car ed worked on in WD. compare this to the pristine one MB gave to new guy Elvis ....LOLi see this car is sorn atm......? maybe getting more work done to it ?

I swore I would never watch this crap ever again. I thought ill give it one more chance. Guess what it's still crap .
