Had eczema my entire life I am now an herbalist because the only thing that healed me was the natural way. I would suggest detoxing the body Cleaning out the stomach because it’s directly linked to eczema. I shop around the outside of the grocery store I rarely eat anything in a box. I still eat dairy but only in small amounts now. I no longer eat meat because meat and dairy together is a double acid blow back. Meat causes uric acid and dairy causes lactic acid. So if you are doing meat dairy and sugar and alcohol etc in unregulated amount the body will continue cleanse itself through the skin because the kidneys cant handle all the breaking down of harsh substances. I’m 35 now started to clean up at 25 people don’t even recognize me anymore to add, I have lost soooo much weight over the years also. I know it’s a lot but I hope it helps. I never imagined people would be coming to me asking what my skin regiment is. Now I have a testimony diet starts with all healing and sickness. What you put in must come out. Eczema is only the body showing you what is happening on the inside. It’s the body’s way of detoxing. So take it as a sign.

What a detailed explanation of the causes and optimum treatment for ezcema, much fuller than anything my primary care doctor ever told me! I've just started trying coconut oil on my lower legs, where the ezcema is the worst. Perhaps now that I'm covered by Medicare, I can eventually investigate the rest of your suggested treatment protocol with physicians local to my area, without having to pay "an arm and a leg" for medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Hello doctor i have watched thousands of videos!! I developed eczema last year at age 30 and turn one year with it this month behind my knees and arm creases also nummular dermatitis. Mann has it been hard not having a full night of sleep. I did change my diet to leafy greens, eliminated sugar, low alcohol etc. it did seem to help but still active. I just want to say THANK YOU!! No other video has explained eczema in detail as you have. Starting next month I will try all of your recommendations and pray that I can finally heal. Once again thanks doc I will keep you in my prayers.

Another thing that helps me when eczema flares up on my hands when certain outdoor allergens spike is CHLOROPHYLL. Taking powdered wheatgrass, spirulina, and/or chlorella in a glass of water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning helps clear things up in a few days.

Generally, starting with the gut is the best idea. Testing for Leaky, Gut and SIBO may be helpful and then address those conditions first. Generally, histamine intolerance improves and eczema improves once the gut is healed. Great to hear from you in Amsterdam!

I listened to a Dr. Berg who explained how to avoid many different vegetables like sweet potatoes, cruciferous veggies, spinach and more. Have you found those to be a problem for the gut biome? I do take enzymes with meals which is helping. I appreciate you sharing your link . Thank you!!!

Consider ordering a gut microbiome test (Thorne, Ombre, Viome, and other companies have tests you can order online). That will give you a wealth of information about what's happening in your gut and what foods you should avoid + the ones to eat more of.

Ehi thanks for the information. I saw you recommend test from "genova diagnostics" GI Effects. There are 3 options: standard, preferred and premier. Which one do you recommend for eczema and why? Hope the "preferred" is good enough. But im in Europe. i dont know if i can still get them or can you suggest one in Europe? For more context: im an healty plant based athlete, my digestion is great, i recently had to take antibiotics for a tooth infection and have a nummular eczema or ringworm (im not sure but i think eczema. It started 1 year ago and it completely disappeard in summer) on one hand of 5 cm in diameter. Thank you!!

I don’t have Eczema anymore but ended up clicking on this video!! I just want to share my story I’m 32 now but started getting this when I was about 10 or 12 , I had it all the way up until I was about 27 , it was all over my arms , fingers and hands , only steroid cream would work!! I appreciate all the advice this doctor is recommending but the truth was it was caused by emotional trauma and stress as a child , I tried everything diet , medication, plant based foods , vitamins, blah blah blah , It started with the mind , those deep thoughts that you don’t want to deal with, the inner rage 😡 you have that you don’t realize your holding onto I know this comment is going to trigger some people or think I’m just saying that somehow we are responsible but that’s not so Consciously you want ti feel better but in the subconscious lies the truth .

I was told by my mother that I had eczema as a baby also. I had it throughout my adolescence and early counties and occasionally my 30s. Now I am 83 and I’ve had a breakout recently during the past few months. I have learned through self reflection, self examination, experimentation with diet and stress release techniques that it is often a multifaceted condition. I would guess that as an infant, I had it because of emotional responses to my environment - particularly my mother’s covert hostility. I was told that I didn’t like to hug her or let her hug me. I have no memory of this; but considering how she was with me, I would guess that , my skin condition was an out-picturing of my emotional aversion to making close physical contact with her because. I couldn’t trust her to not switch to violence. Children are very sensitive emotionally to their environment and the people in it. They are like sponges so unless there’s something abnormal in the diet, their eczema is usually emotion based. With Teenagers, it can be diet, hormones, and emotional influences. The reason why there are so many remedies and suggestions for how to treat it is because not everybody is exactly the same as far as cause and effect. I am 83 and I’ve had a lifetime of experimentations of all kinds with varying degrees of flareups and complete eradication. I know that right now some of it is subtle stress due to not getting adequate sleep, as well as subconscious concerns about being alone as a senior citizen. In addition wheat and sugar cause IMMEDIATE flareups and itching. People have to pay close attention to all of the factors in their lives and from a place of truth try anything and everything to see what works for you as an individual. Regarding your toddler, I would pay attention to what kind of influences there are in the child’s environment. It may be the music for the child hearing. It may be something as seemingly innocuous as the TV set that’s running continually in the background, subjecting the child to images of violence and anxiety. It may have something to do with the relationship between you and your significant other that the child is picking up as a result of sensitivity to and reaction against. Try playing soothing music especially for babies at native or bedtime. Pay attention to your voice and how the child responds to you. I’m not accusing you of being an abuser or having an abuser in your environment. But if you have an acutely sensitive child - like I was as a baby - ANYTHING and ANYONE - including what’s on tv can be a stressor. Also, pay attention to what you wash the child’s clothes with and whether or not they are adequately, rinsed. I am sensitive to detergents. And if I don’t use brands that are made for sensitive skin, I can break out just from my underwear not being rinsed enough.

Yes you can, or you can use Betaine and Pepsin pills which are like "stomach acid" pills.

36 years and undergoing severe eczema and currently TSW over the last 3 years . However , on the mission to heal completely , stopped topicals completely but on immunosuppressants currently . The problem is reaction to most of the supplements including cod liver oil and not sure what to start with . Would it be ok to start with butyrate if the gut is super sensitive ,??

If your gut is super sensitive, I usually recommend starting with Digestive Enzymes: dr-rajsrees-public-supplement-store.myshopify.com/collections/gut-microbiome/products/digestive-enzyme-pro

hi.. Thanks for sharing your journey.. I started on immunosuppresants since Oct 23 due to my chronic condition. I have tried Ayurveda for many years since a child. it re occured 4 years ago. No treatment has worked for me... Allopathy was my last resort. skin flares up when i stop these.. How are you responding to the immunosuppressants treatment?
