Was just about to order a Turtlebox, then saw this! I ordered the EcoXgear Defender instead, I hope it’s as tough as the Turtlebox.

Great review, hopefully it will be at a lower price for prime day.

What do you think about it when compared to the TurtleBox gen 2? I have the TurtleBox and just ordered this.

I have both and I feel like the eq on the EcoXGear is better in terms of bass. Turtle Box is a little flatter and just a tad bit louder but not clearer. EcoXGear is clearer at max volume than the TB in my opinion.

@@isabelquintero8808 I just got my Ecoxgear defender and it’s pretty trash. It’s cheap, has a horrible amp to supply power to the speaker and distorts at 50% volume. I like the design and it does get loud but the turtle box is way better built and sounds better and more natural, and hits better sub bass. I hope you like yours though!

Can you use it for Karaoke?

Yes, it has a dedicated microphone input and microphone volume level. It even has a reverb or echo function for the mic to make you sound better LOL .

I’ve had 2 of this name brand speakers. Not this model though. The speaker was good while it lasted. Both of the ones I had the batteries went out, the battery wouldn’t charge. The speaker wouldn’t come on unless it was plugged in. I don’t recommend this brand. I will not buy this brand again. It will be JBL or turtle box for me.

Per my research, these speakers are TOTALLY different from the ones they have made in the past.

I assume you had the speaker with wheels on it? They have built in lead acid batteries. Like a car if they are not kept charge the batteries will go bad. That being said they can be replaced by the user if need be as well.
