@@gauravdahal2 National economic census says 50% of our ecoonmy is informal economy. ILO says 70% of our economy is informal economy. That's what he is quoting. @@gauravdahal2 GDP consists of both formal and Informal sectors. For example, Wholesale and retail is the Largest employer of Nepal, a majority of which is informal. If informal retail were excluded from GDP calculations, our GDP would be 5-10% less than what it is now.
