    Very cool swap, I did this back in 2015/16 to my fox with a crate engine from ford motorsport, t5z and a lot of home built parts. Your build is quite a bit cleaner, good call doing the aftermarket k member and trans crossmember, I had lots of fun getting everything to fit with the factory pieces. Words of advice, since I've had mine on the road for nearly 8 years now. Make sure you do lots of sound deadening and vibration damping, these are very buzzy little engines below about 2500 rpm, it will drive you nuts with little rattles and squeaks. Worth doing a catch can system as well, the direct injection doesn't clean the intake valves the same way as older port injection stuff. All in all, great job man! Edit: After seeing your other videos, you dont need any advice from me haha

    I find it somewhat amusing with so many people asking, “why a 2.0?” Or, “you should have….” Everyone is a critic. If someone doesn’t like what you’ve done, they can move along. We all have various reasons for what we do. For the most part, it comes down to flavor, affordability and being different. Of course most people would opt for a V8. All of my Foxes have all been V8s. My current one is an NA 347 and I love it. But it’s “my” flavor. Now that our channel is building a 406 Clevor, we don’t get many questions as to why, just what heads/intake are we going with. That said, I dig your 2.0 swap. It’s different and it’s what you know. It makes sense. I have a good friend who swapped a 2.0 into his Delorean. His channel used to be riddled with critics on the swap. Now, most people can appreciate why, the amount of time put into it, fabrication, and the learning curve it took to make it work. Keep up the good work. Subbed; I look forward to more on this build.

    I wanna make one of these with a 2.3. the only thing standing in my way is (well, money), and ca emission laws. I’ve been looking hard into making something like this street legal in ca and to my surprise it is technically possible. You’d think it wouldn’t be, but it is. It has to pass a special inspection from what I’ve been reading and the car has to have a ca emissions engine, a the same wiring harness and ECU, and catalytic converters on. Seems possible but very difficult and expensive to pull off. Might take me a few years to do it :/ But I think if executed right, and everything works as intended, I could make a 300hp turbo fox body with good mpg and power and still have a fun turbo boosted RWD mustang to whip around as a daily, that no one else has anything like. It’s very appealing, I just am not sure if it’s possible…

    I just bought an 89 vert and am starting to put a 2.0 ecoboost swap into it. Motor will be a 15 escape and an 04 tko i hope. What transmission does the esslinger adapter fit. • @stroupperformance9384

    @stroupperformance9384

    The esslinger adapter converts to a small block ford bellhousing pattern. Anything that would fit behind a small block ford should bolt right up. I didn't have to cut any of the firewall for my set up, but I did hammer the pinch weld flat where the cowl meets the firewall. I can send you the CAD files for my engine mounts. My mounts are specific to the AJE K member though. I believe they use a different mounting position than the stock K member. I can send them via email if you would like though. stroupperformance@gmail.com

    Mostly due to packaging and price. A twin turbo V6 is a lot heavier and wider than the 2.0. The 3.5 is also quite a bit more expensive. I don't think the 3.5 is a bad choice, I just prefer the 2.0.

    The 1 piece headlights look better to me even though I know they aren't the real deal.. But just about every Foxbody I see, The headlights don't line up right. My Buddy has a very nice Notchback with a lot of man hours into it and that always bothered me about the front of his car.. And parts for these cars don't exactly fall off of trees these days. These days there are a lot of people doing Foxbody builds looking for parts that aren't made anymore. The next town over there's a Coyote swapped Fox body that is very nice..

    It can definitely be a budget swap, I spent more money in quite a few places that you really don't have to. I'd say this swap could definitely be done for like 3-4k with all new parts other than the engine. Making 400-450whp out of one is probably another $2500, again with all new parts off the shelf. It definitely could be done cheaper if you shop around for used parts.
