MY Buddy has a 90 Notchback.. He loves that car, every weekend he's out there upgrading parts on.. He has that thing ripping with an old 5.0 in it.. It's amazingly quick and I forget how light they are compared to newer cars.. You are doing a great job..

Yep a 400rwhp will stay with or pull a modern,500rwhp mustang. I had an 81 notch back. Just a basic 302 and ran high 12s with that. Couldn't have been more than 290rwhp Have a 70 mav that once had a roller 306 it weighed 3050 pounds with me in it. Ran a best of 11.87@117mph nothing special about it either. Just light weight. It's currently getting a massive redo. Been itching for a fox body again though. Really digging this build....

neat touch with the wireless charger. It really doesn't take much to add modern convenience to an old car, just some brains. and good idea about making sure the steering wheel doesn't hit you--no one plans to fail, they fail to plan. but you get hit by the things you don't plan on, and you learn not to make that mistake twice :) and if the horn button doesn't work, you could always scrounge up that HIDEOUS Ford idea in the 1980's of putting a horn button at the end of the turn signal stalk :)

Thanks for watching! The horn definitely won't work, I forgot that I had removed the horn when I originally tore the car down. So deleting the pins on the column won't affect anything. Who needs a horn anyways right?

Can be ticketed for no horn or denied plates upon inspection if one is required. Also you should tighten that steering wheel with a half inch drive impact or torque to spec. Tight isn't always tight enough. I was an ASE master tech with adv Diag, 2 welding certs, M.A.C A/C cert, so many certifications from parts and vehicle manufacturers I lost track. A very capable metal fabricator. Also worked free in an automotive machine shop for 3 years part time to learn enough to get me in trouble....Only thing I never really learned was automatic trans rebuilding (I prolly could but at this point I trust someone that specializes) and I can't paint worth a shite. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Nursing. I started at 15 in garage worked that industry until I was 37. I am now almost 47. Learned a lot along the way....made many mistakes....like not tightening a steering wheel to torque. Customer kept driving until it came off ..... customer freaked.... totalled the car. Thankfully wasn't injured too badly. Healed up .... Learn from my mistakes. I like your channel btw. Also you could add some dielectric grease and solve that noise in your steering wheel.

Nice work, where did you get them seats from & did you have to modify the brackets. Thanks

They are Corbeau RRXs I got them and the Corbeau seat brackets from LMR. The brackets are aftermarket, and the drivers bracket is a low profile mount. It gives me plenty of head room and I am just over 6' tall.

Put some blue Loctite on the threads and torque it to spec. Have you scaled the car?

@@stroupperformance9384 I think that’s what the plug harness you mentioned was. When you close the door, the button disconnects the circuit, just unplug the wire at the button.
