It feels really special to be a Nintendo fan during the Switch era. I can't believe they had this incredible game in their back pocket in the lead up to TotK. I'm so thrilled about the look of this game, and I'm happy to navigate the world in a different way. I find the 2D Zelda worlds kind of restrictive, but A Link Between Worlds is my favourite because of how the gimmick opens up the world, and I see the same thing happening here on an even greater scale. I also definitely thought Zelda was summoning a cute lil' shrieking monkey the first few times I watched the trailer, until an analysis video pointed out it was a redead LOL

yeah i agree with Nico. i think just like in a link to the past the guards are gonne be mind-controlled and thats why zelda is in a dungeon at the start, she then uses the hood to go in disguise.

I follow your KZread, Twitter, and Instagram. Somehow I miss the marathon almost every year. I feel like you guys don't promote it enough. I had no idea it was happening

the best way to make sure you dont miss is it by following them on twitch and turning notifications on. i agree though they used to promote it more on their social media's now its mostly the site. though they did post a short on the second day of the marathon to youtube to tell people to go over to twitch and watch it

Absolutely Love the Original Links Awakening for Gameboy. I beat the game was when I was 10. About 3 weeks ago i decided to pick it back up and beat it again!

The remake of the overworld of Tolemac looks so good so far!

I was not expecting a new Zelda game at the direct. What a fun surprise! And as much as I am ready for a more traditional Zelda game, this looks like it will be so much fun! I can’t wait!

a lot of these modern zelda characteristics were already present in cadence of hyrule, people constantly forget about that game and probably hasnt played it as much as i did but trust me when i say there tons of different solutions to each situation depending on whatever you got on your inventory...im already seeing every review of echoes saying this is the first time they do that in a 2d zelda, but it isnt

Echoes of Wisdom : Zelda, focus on puzzle solving and use of the environment... Echoes of Courage: Link, focus on combat and more traditional... Echoes of Power: Ganon, more war sim, resource management... Just saying...

Gooey where is the TotK ranking, we're waiting lol Also, I feel like you guys are ridiculously minimizing previous 2D Zelda games gameplay "they don't want us to just hack and slash our way through the dungeons," as if that was ever the case. It's so disingenuous to imply people who are a bit tentative about an entirely new gameplay style are just doing that because they're basically dumb. Just sitting back and watching other enemies fight for you, if strategic, is literally less engaging/involved than the classic style. I'm still very excited for the game and think that Nintendo can pull off that approach, but that's such a strawman to frame it that way.

Looks like a slow slog. Making a tree really sounds fun 🤔. Just when you thought the stupidity was over after the fusing, now we can sit there and make 5 tables so we can get to the next spot 🤦🏻‍♂️
