I have had a cs346 for over 20 years. I have put 2 replacement carburetors on it. The last one I put on it was about a 2 years ago. It is a major pain. This Echo model looks so much easier. That is why I was checking out this procedure on You Tube. I was planning my next chainsaw purchase with the inevitable carburetor change out in mind. Thanks for posting.

my brother put me onto. a kit would be a little cheaper, but even I can not screw that up

That top line on the carb is a vacuum line that connects to the crankcase. The two side connections are the fuel and return. I paid to have my carb replaced and they didnt put the fuel filter on with a split ring so it fell off and sucked air and clogged the low and high jets. I found a way to blast the jets clear without having to take the whole carb apart. It runs better than new now.

Great example of how to replace a carburetor. But you left out (on propose) the most important part . on the carb you installed the adjustment locks where still extended . you didnt give a procedure on what to do for that . obviously you need to run and adjust the carb in then push in the locks to keep the saw in tune for future use . I'm curious as to why you omitted that little bit of pertinent Information ?

16 bucks for one on amazon...

Was it a aftermarket replacement carburetor or oem?

Iam sorry,but o watched this video an its not showing me how to hook up the throttle in the handle, I had got a chainsaw with no carburetor so I ordered the correct carburetor and I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how does throttle gets hooked up on the handle and which hoses go to the primer button and which go to the carburetor if you can please help me I would appreciate it or somebody please thank you

sorry for taking so long to respond to the question. I will have to find the diagram I used the first time I did it and got confused over the fuel line routing. The throttle linkage is pretty straight forward unless you got the incorrect carburetor. This model of chainsaw comes with a fast idle linkage but there are a lot of people selling a version they claim to be correct and is not and hard to tell if you do not have the original there. I am thinking of putting together a video on just that. The fuel lines are very easy to get wrong as I had mine messed up last summer. It would run for a while and quit. I will look for the diagram I used to unconfuse myself and update you

@@Joefixesit ok cool thx, The chainsaw i have it only has 2 rubber fuel hoses coming up on the left side ,i guess where the tank is,it looks like there is 3 in the video,right now i only have one hooked up on the longer nipple on the primer button,an the other fuel hose to the carb, Its weird cuz when i hit the primer button no fuel comes up into that little see threw button,but it fires up anyway an runs,🤔i dont get it, But thanks for your help,

@@JoeisHungry I all ways remember it by knowing that the suction side of the purge bulb hooks to the carb on the Diaphragm side . the brass tube sticking out is usually on that end
