haha bro I did the whole thing and I was like how, thankfully I tried chat GPT and it reaffirmed my answer to a bit but no worries, thanks for clarifying, cheers.
Reading everyone else's comments about how helpful this was, and I usually agree. But damn - everytime an ECG comes up I feel like my mind just slows to a crawl.

Sorry to hear! I found that practicing interpreting helped me pick up ECGs quite quickly, that may help you too. Good luck!
As a new and unexperienced nurse I always feel kind of lost and gives me anxiety not being able to understand a basic EKG, but for the first time I found this info so clear, that with little study and practice I will be able to identify anomalies. Thanks so much for this video, already subscribed to the channel, very good topics in it.

Great video. I'm 7 months into the ED as a nurse and love it. I will say that most of our techs and nurses do Not care about lead placement and just slap them on wherever. Basically the leads 3-6 will be touching and in a straight line. Yikes.

Right Axis deviation is incorrect. That’s actually Left Axis deviation. Hopefully it didn’t confuse a lot of people

Just a correction @2:27 you write RAD if lead 1 positive and AVF negative. This should be the other way around.

3:51 do you have another method because not all ecg show 50 squares to count.
Sir does the ST segment mean start or end of ventricular depolarisation. Because I got confused it with QT segment
Axis is _30 +90. Will Marrow for Bundle Branch Block, or Rabbits ears❤
great video, small mistake on the axis deviation bit though please fix

One more correction:For irregular rate it's no of qrs in 6 sec × 10
@2:26 when you are explaining about RAD... you have written lead 1 as( +ve) and aVF as -(ve)...where as in your explanation you said the opposite. Please correct that
@RhesusMedicine

You are right, well spotted. I'll pin the correction, thanks for pointing it out!
You will observe a spike on ECG, pacemaker❤.
why shouldn't we check the lead II for RAD? why do we only check it to ensure the LAD?
@RhesusMedicine

You can work out the axis based on many different combinations of leads, what I've included here is just one way 😊
Really appreciate the video, but the axis. slide is backwards
❤❤
can we get this notes in pdf format?
@RhesusMedicine
Жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm working on creating PDF/Note forms of the videos :)
Youve made a mistake about RAD. IT says here lead I is positive and aVF -ve, when it's the other way round.
❤
there has to be a simpler way to read it
traduzir para o porugues
There is a mistake at 2:13 for RAD. You say if Lead I is negative, but wrote positive and the same with aVF, you said positive but wrote negative. Great video otherwise.

You started talking about axis without explaining it

Theres literally a diagram on screen as he mentions it… The purpose of the vid is to be able to interpret ecg not how the different leads are derived. You could say the same for anything else he said. ‘he started talking about the heart without explaining what it is🥺’

too fast, didn't explain the concept of axes. Lost me 2 minutes in. I'll go an look for something even more basic I guess.
@RhesusMedicine
7 ай бұрын
Sorry Chiara! Maybe slowing down the playback may help, or if you're very fresh to ECG it would probably help looking at the way they function before interpretation. Once you've got that it'll be a good place to come to cover general interpretation. Good luck with your learning! 😊
