Ebert & Roeper - Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)

Фильм және анимация

I agree with Richard - this is the funniest of the three AP films.

Gold Member is hysterical, my favorite out of the trilogy.

I love that you have been posting these. In a dream world the archive would be back from the old days lol.

Unfortunately I don't have very many more that aren't already on YT on other channels. Glad you've been enjoying them though.

The archive was a dream, a decade removed now it’s a shame.

The second one had too many 90's references which dated it.

I think I’m more frequently on Ebert’s side, but I’m with Roeper on this one. Goldmember’s hilarious.

Same. And seeing it in theaters with an energetic crowd was still one of my fondest moviegoing experiences.

I think Ebert became more Siskel-like after Siskel died. Like he was trying to be the more adult and mature critic to Roeper's childlike enthusiasm. He also gave negative reviews to Spider-Man and War of the Worlds around this time.

It's more than just the third installment. It's the concluding installment in a trilogy. Roger is saying Myers should move on... but I knew he was going to. Watching this in the theatre, anyone could see this was going to be the last one. All the characters are sort of resolved here. All the loose ends are tied up and the whole thing comes full-circle. I did hear that Myers is planning on doing a spin-off with Dr. Evil. I wish he wouldn't. It's better to end before it all starts to suck.

no. i didnt like goldmember but im not that old. it mostly revolves around "are you old enough to get this" and the quentin tatantino thing will play in, which doesnt work there. the firstvones an accidental hit and oops they did it again.. but not even britney spears saved part 3 for me. it was too damn long.
