👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 It's official I am amazed at your process and love love love what you've done!!! I sincerely hope that I can learn to duplicate what you've shown us in this video and will be buying your package immediately! I have used Turbo Lister in the past and I had a job at Stewart and Stevenson in their pricing department so I have good knowledge of CSV spreadsheets and when eBay changed the CSV format this year to downloading reports and uploading reports it was intimidating to me not knowing what columns I could add or not add. I have done the upload drafts CSV report on eBay but was unsuccessful uploading a CSV spreadsheet like I previously did it before the changes on eBay this year. I'm hoping your spreadsheet will help!!! thank you for being so awesome! 🙏👍👏❤️😊

I just started my seller account on eBay and just finished listed a new item, the total of three on my listing now, after I finished listed the last one, I received an email saying that there’s a restriction on my account it was talking about fees and hacks and other reasons why my account may be restricted. Why would I be paying fees if I don’t make any sales? I haven’t get the chance to read through all their information on their policies as yet but I will do so. Can you tell me what could cause this.? I even check my messages on their website but there’s no messages telling why my account has a restriction. On it.

  • @SamsonTV

My main recommendation is to chose desktop windows 10 PC. Best value for money & compatibility with pretty much all software straight out of the box. There are plenty of pre-built PCs available online for between $1-2000 that will be more then capable for the next 5 years. I would not recommend spending outside of this price range (below 1K - will disappoint eventually & need upgrading, above 2K - diminishing return on investment).

I haven't used his, just stumbled on this video, but making a powerful spreadsheet is definitely worth your time. It's hard to get into using someone else's. I have one built for my videogame refurbs, tailored to exactly what I do. But whatever you do, look into trying to use spreadsheets. Quick overview of mine - When I purchase a lot of games (let's say 30 NES titles), my first sheet ("Lot Purchases") gets info on that lot. I add a new line item, and have fields for lot ID (the 207th lot I've ever purchased, so 207, to reference in all my other sheets), ebay order or receipt number (thrift stores) to reference later, date bought, how much I paid, console, completeness (loose/complete/sealed). I don't have to put how many units, I'll get to that later. My second sheet is my collection tab, each line item is a single individual item. I create 30 new line items, and just fill in "207." It pulls all the info into each line from the previous sheet. I type in the 30 titles. For the time being the price paid per-game is simply the total/30. Because I have a field called "Current Market Value." I look up what each game is worth at the time of purchase and fill in. Back on my first sheet, it has a field called "total units" that counts how many line items are ID #207. It sets to 30. A field is called "total market value." It sums the market value of every line with ID # 207. Back on my second sheet, the games now reference this total value to find their proportion of weight the lot. If Super Mario Bros. was worth $8, and all 30 titles were a sum of $200, then Line item 207-1 is 4% of the lot's value. I have a field that find that single line item's cost. So let's say I entered $78 as my total cost on Sheet 1, the individual game will automatically parse that it cost me $3.12. I have a few fields for analytics. Sheet 1 takes the market value and subtracts what I paid for "ValueTown." lol. How much money I saved vs. current market rate. The fun part: Sheet 2 has fields for "Status." I put a game into my permanent collection, or warehouse, or for sale. I have a sheet with analytics like total price of my permanent personal collection, total value of my warehouse, etc. Sheet 3 is the important one. My sales sheet. When I list a unit, I create a new listing line item. Each item has a SKU, which is Lot#-dash-Item#, so Super Mario Bros. is 207-1. When I create my line item and put 207-1 in the "SKU" field, it automatically pulls the title, price I paid, and does math to suggest what I sell the item for. By default I usually mark up around 40%ish plus a few dollars if doing free shipping. I don't have to look anything up, it's for sale. Sheet 2 automatically updates a field to "Listed" and I use conditional formatting to highlight the line GREEN and bold the text. When it sells, I put the order ID. I keep a copy of my transaction report from my ebay reports page, as well as my ORDER report (this expires every 90 days so don't let it go too long before downloading, it has the most useful information that's not on the transaction report). My item sale references this for everything from how much I paid in fees, to the attached shipping label. The line item is marked as sold in Sheet 2, and Grays out so it no longer catches my eye from the other items. Every single one of these sheets is a table, so I can sort unsold or collection to top, or hide certain values, like hiding sold entirely. Sheet 1 automatically sums all sale prices, and I get a running profit on that particular lot's items. It will highlight green the moment I start making profit on that item (at my markup and how aggressive I sniped the lot, it can be profitable with only 20% of the items sold from that buy). My profit is calculated. I don't only use Sheet 3's fees and shipping label, but remember, this SKU knows the console and completeness of each item. So I know from another sheet I've build about how much cleaning material I've used and packaging. I have a replenishables sheet that has my last buy price of contact cleaner, paper, mailers, q-tips, etc. it breaks down cost to refurbish one item. So for NES, I use 0.5% of my container of DeoxIT, one Q-tip, half a paper towel, and ship with one medium size bubble mailer, on average. This is all price listed on my costs sheet. The date of sale on the sales page makes sure I pull the right price, I don't have to think about updating prices. If I buy Q-Tips from Kroger for $4, then mid 2020 they jumped to $13 on Amazon, I don't have to update anything. Just log Item: Qtips, Cost: $13, Date of purchase, and it's all calculated into every sale. And finally, taxes. I know exactly how much I paid for each item I sold, so I can calculate my income, cost of inventory, operating costs, etc. and find my exact taxable income. Any collectible sold within 1 year as inventory is subject to income tax. Over 1 year since acquisition is subject to capital gains. So, I spent months on this spreadsheet. Workflow: Add purchase to lot purchase list. List the items by name and punch in their values when I bought them. Paste order IDs and SKUs from the list into listings sheet. Periodically update ebay sales reports by pasting the line items from each month. Everything else is 100% automatic. I have ADHD, but I'm able to basically do the work of 5 people while also still having a full time real job using my database. And I never have to worry about taxes, as everything is kept 100% intact. Every single individual item accounted for and logged. I'm checking out this video since I just learned about eBay File Exchange, and soon I'll be able to use Excel Macros to literally have a "List" button right next to my items on my inventory sheet and auto generate everything.

I recommend using a USB cable connection to transfer photos if you aren't already.

@SamsonTV I also want to tell you, you are awesome 😎 So young and fabulous!! I also have another question, What are your thoughts about selling LEGO’s ?

@@melisaa1616 Thanks! My experience with LEGO's is that they can be somewhat difficult to source with a good profit margin. People seem to know the value of them & they were always quite expensive on FB marketplace etc. Also, I am not big on the idea of sorting through kilos of LEGO's, which I presume is important in order to get the most out of a lot. Not to discourage you from selling them, I am sure it's possible to make it work - just not for me.

@SamsonTV When I saw you on KZread I thought to myself hero a young guy who knows his shit so I started following you and I was very impressed and encouraged to continue my sales on eBay. But I feel so lost right now I don’t know my right hand from my left hand. When I watch your videos it seem so easy but when I start it’s not that easy. I’m not really good with spreadsheets I never use them so I don’t know if I’ll be able to use yours?

@@melisaa1616 Thank you for the kind words. All I can say is that my generic template is designed to be used by someone with very little to no spreadsheet experience. Most of the customization is just finding certain terms & replacing them with others. No pressure to purchase it or anything, but I would not consider lack of spreadsheet experience to be a barrier against getting started with it.
