Ohh no,completely your choosen audios are wrong, you're messed up with indian music and sri lankan music, your audios are extremely not sri lankan,if you use english songs much better we like,and you are use the word buddhist temple to a hindu temple, i dont know why still some people dont know how to find information about any country through the internet,and colombo is not the sri lanka,its just the city,,colombo have so many crows😂😂😂plz go through the booking.com or trip advisor and you can get some good informations to visit sri lanka,the street foods are nana food,thats mean sri lankan muslims making food,but if you want to eat real sri lankan sinhalese food you have to go to sinhala restaurant,(sinhala hotalaya)because we not selling foods on streets because its dirty,but that your hotel they served sri lankan food,dont follow any outsiders, just go through the tourist board informations,and thanks for you to visit my country,

Unfortunately I did a search and couldn't find any Sri Lankan music without copyrights. So this was the closest I could find, the music is to set the mood not so much about authenticity to the land. I also like to see the street food as it's a different side and I like to experience all types of food, next time I'll take your advice. Cheers!

Wow, my daughter just came back from Sri Lanka today, she stayed in the same hotel, she loved it😍, she came back with a variety of tea, fruits and spices. Try to visit the cinnamon farms where you can see how they prepare it from the start. Thanks for making this video. Enjoy your stay😊🌹🌹🌹

I use Sony a7III for this one with 24-105 g lens. Plus I have Sony 6300.

This is an amazing video and thanks for visiting. Hope you visited Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Sigiriya and the northern Tamil area Jaffna as well. Jaffna is very vibrant these days and there's a month-long festival coming up at Nallur Kandaswamy temple. That's where you'll see Sri Lankan Tamil and Hindu culture at its finest.

Please note Sri Lanka has two ethnicities. It seems the majority of things you tried are from the Sinhalese side, you should explore the Tamil side as well, both are similar but also very different!

Recipe30 actually I think you did a great job incorporating both on your video. Sinhalese style is more milder and primarily uses more coconut base and has more fish curries while Tamil food is spicier and they have amazing mutton and chicken curries as well as fish

I had a friend from thalaimannar in my college days, but I could not met her after and missed all her details. Hey Rahul, on behalf of all the Sri Lankans, Thank you very much for your generous complements. If you're planning to visit Sri Lanka, I would say try to avoid local public holidays as much as you can. During the public holidays transportation for long distance travel is a mess. Here are some tips for you. start your trip by visiting the northern parts of the Sri Lanka. Then Anuradhapura and or Polonnaruwa > Sigiriya > Dambulla > Kandy > Nuwara Eliya > Ella > Haputale > Pinnawala > and the southern coast. or vice versa. always try to take the train as it is much cheaper and comfortable than other methods , but don't keep much hope for a seat if you couldn't buy a tickets earlier. drop a message or reply to this if you need any assistance. (Don't worry. free of Charge..) good luck and hope to see you soon here!

Westerners are not only insensitive but also ignorant. Sri Lankans and Indians had a long historical conflict. A Canadian young punk uploaded a video about Taiwan and used Japanese music as the BGM, not knowing Taiwan was once invaded and colonized by the Japanese. The atrocities the Japanese inflicted upon the Taiwanese were not less serve as the Mainland Chinese. When someone asked him why he used Japanese enka music, that frivolous, disrespectful punk replied :"Because I like it“。He then used Chinese erhu music for a Korean street food video, thus stirring up fights in the comment section.

Heads up to those heading to Sri Lanka. It's amazing, just returned - but if you can please steer clear of places that exploit animals. Particularly Gangaramayana Temple in Colombo that has an elephant stolen from his mother kept under a carport chained up. We saw the elephant ourselves and were deeply distressed to see it and dogs being chained by the legs. So many wonderful ethical places to visit in Sri Lanka and tourist dollars talk - so travel ethically if you can x

Did wonder about this. We would only go to accredited parks and animal shelters that are legit. Not sure if there are international organizations that check them out. Heading over Nov/Dec 2018 Would like to go to North as well if safe. Does anyone know if this is OK?

Yes please please do your research - there is a lot of corruption when it comes to animals and it's overwhelming at times. Particularly animal orphanages - once funded with good intention now are cash grabbing businesses operating under the pretence of an orphanage. The safaris are fine though, you are seeing animals in their natural habitat.

I saw in the comments below, that many were asking, why we left our country. Its because of the civil, which happened between us ( tamils ) and the sinhalese people. MAny of my relatives died. Nice video .! One comment: dont always trust the guides. They are full of lies. For example ; the various stances of budda is not according to the country. It is call mudras and you have more than 8 stances with different meaning. It is philosophical than locational.

It is safe to visit the North and the East, but it still isn't very developed- really nothing much to see compared to the other parts of the country. The beaches in the East are very nice though (see Trincomalee and Nilaveli).

I got to enjoy Colombo via my hospital room when I was kicked off my cruise ship when I contracted Typhoid fever on my vacay. Nice view of the colorful tulip tower, but not much else.

Not much else from the hospital window view tho. Other parts of colombo is nice and the other parts of the country is even more nicer.

The reason is, there are lots of Sri Lankans work in overseas. They are enttled for an allowance to purchase these items on duty free basis depend on their stay overseas. When they return for holidays they buy a one according to their allowance and then use at home or sell at a lower price in the market. Even for Sri Lankans those who travel for short period of time (even one day) are entiled for an allowance of USD 180/-. For this reason if any Sri Lankans finds his/her Washing Machine, Refrigerator, TV, etc is malfunctioning and if he/she intends to visit overseas for even a short visit they postpone the purchase of new one and on their return they buy a one with the said allowance. Thats the reason.
