The Orient Bambino watch shows you have very good taste in watches as well. It exhibits a timeless classic look and a favorite for watch collectors, even if they have Rolexes or Pateks in their collection. The food review was good as well!

Awesome! Yes they are great there. As I said on IG, there was one on Second / E84 now closed. Growing up here, we lost most of our traditional diners. My neighborhood in Flushing has a large Greek community, and I'm fortunate to have traditional diners by me. There's a cool 50's style spot over here as well! Take a ride in, I'll show you around!

Nice! It's a shame how so many of the traditional diners are disappearing, but it's nice to see places like this still around, especially in NYC and New Jersey. Since I spent a large part of my life living in Chicago and the suburbs, I'm not used to places like this, which are even more scarce there.

My favorite diner in NYC! I like the Upper East side location :D

I know what you mean! Luckily, I think they provide good value for the food they offer. I especially thought that my burger was a good deal.

One of the best spot for a 7oz burger! A classic diner look, never disappoints!

Great video! You should try Ritz Diner when you get a chance. It’s right off the Queensboro bridge in Manhattan!

Superlative production and presentation. Living in Manhattan, my go-to Jackson Hole is their 35th & Third Avenue location. It's been a staple for decades. Everything there is quality and taste. I love their magical rare blue cheese burger. I've enjoyed the Emily burger, but it's too pricey. For local it's always Jackson Hole.

I have gone straight back to my home from LaGuardia airport. Maybe I should stop there next time? Haha. As a burger lover who eats burger at least 2 times a week on a regular basis, I should try that!

Indeed! Yeah, it's right next to Astoria, and sometimes the area where the diner is located is referred to Astoria Heights, but I went with the neighborhood Google Maps said the diner is located as East Elmhurst. It's kind of confusing. But yeah, great place!

Thanks for watching! I love Michelin Star restaurants, but I know what you mean. A classic American diner has that great ambiance that's free of the sometime pretentious air of a fine dining establishment. It's a place you can relax, eat good fresh food, and pay a reasonable price.

Yes it's a good place... been there a couple of times, even had breakfast there once. I'm glad you explained how it has two names, and that there are other Jackson Hole burger outlets. As for "Goodfellas", I think it's important to understand that Scorsese pulled a little trick that only observant New Yorkers would notice. The scene at the diner comes right after the JFK cargo heist scene, so it makes sense that they would meet there; "Airline Diner" must be near the airport, right? Except that it's near a different airport (LGA). No criticism of Scorsese, but when I saw the movie years ago, knowing the territory, I couldn't get that out of my mind. I still should go back for another burger.

Technical Director had one job... ONE !!! Jokes aside, the diner scene wasn't with right after the cargo heist scene. It was paired with Tommy's assassination (off site) when Henry and Jimmy were awaiting news from Tommy's ceremony for getting made where he was instead whacked for killing Billy Batts

I know what you mean. Before making this video, I rewatched that scene from Goodfellas and was a bit confused on how they mentioned Idlewild Airport, which was the old name for JFK, but that's the thing with movies, sometimes they create their own realities. At the same time, the diner was such a visually perfect location!

@@Jamesnu Yes, it was. The idea certainly fit. The cargo heist in the movie was based on a real crime committed in 1978 at the Lufthansa cargo terminal at JFK, organized by Henry Hill, the protagonist in the film. It still stands as the largest theft of cash and jewelry at JFK Airport in the past 60 years. If Scorsese chose to have the airport referred to as Idlewild, who am I to argue, there's nobody better at creating an authentic New York atmosphere... but in 1978 the airport had been known as JFK for almost 15 years.
