I've listened to 3 doctors here on KZread and Amber is saying the exact same thing. I've lost 40lbs since December 29th 2021 with a combination of Keto, Carnivore. I learned about fasting because in February I got worried about not being hungry and eating once a day. Once I learned fasting was not only healthy but natural. I now eat once every other day and only when I'm hungry. I started running again (not very far) walking a couple of miles and lifting a bag of chains. I'm a truck driver, over the road. Now the benefits of doing what she says. I was on lisinpril 2 glipizide and 2 metaformin a day, I don't take any thing. Blood sugar went down from 300 to 120‐93 with no medication. Blood pressure 140/97 to 110/79. Erectile dysfunction gone. That's the big one for me no pun intended. Oh, and I get new clothes. My journey is not over but I started at 304lbs and I'm down to 264. I still got 40 to 60lbs to go. So if you share in my health problems, I suggest to listen to her and try the 2 diets or a combination of both for a bit, then start fasting as your hunger leaves your body. Good luck and may you be blessed in all your endeavors.

@@insider235 I am not sure about the science of it. I got the advice from a Manager at a loves truck stop. He had been on keto for 1 year and noticed when he hit a plateau he would go off of his diet for a few days then get right back on it. He claims to be down 150lbs. He started over 400 lbs down in the 250s . The break seems to work for us both. The little things I've noticed like exercise and fasting help out as well. Lastly my testosterone has come up from the fasting according to my doctor. That helps tremendously with all things. I am down to 225. That's 79lbs since Dec 29th now here in the second week of August. However I did cheat in July on my vacation for a solid 2 weeks. Been rough fasting and being as disciplined as I was. Good news I didn't gain any weight with all the hiking and other things my wife of 30 years likes to do. Good luck JT and do what works for you.

I cannot say enough how happy I am to find this channel... It has completely changed my health ....physical and mental. At 55 I was basically told move more eat less and menopause body is just what happens .... NO FREAKIN WAY!! Why my primary or OBGYN has NEVER suggested I consult with a nutritionist is beyond me?!?! I ate steel oats in the morning WRONG ... whole wheat or that nasty keto bread with turkey WRONG ... low fat everything WRONG and the weight kept creeping up... spending 2 hours a day working out or running 2 miles a day stressing my body out WRONG . Anyone about to follow Autumn and fasting (I do the 14:10) with insulin resistance eating you have to give it at least 6 weeks to see the difference ... I felt better after about 10 days now going into my 3rd month I walk 4 miles a day broken up into intervals and now down 10 lbs .. this is a lifestyle you can keep and if you have a "treat" day it does not defeat your work at better heath .... THANK YOU AUTUMN !!!!

Hey Autumn! New subscriber here 😊 I am not a first time IF-er but I am not all that educated in the science of it. I love your videos and how you explain literally everything you're talking about! I am starting my journey again after having my second and final child. As a type 1 diabetic, I just wanted to comment on the idea that higher levels of insulin in the body lead to weight gain. I have experienced this first hand! Anytime, for any reason, I need to increase my insulin significantly (usually due to pregnancy or falling into poor eating habits), I notice immediate weight gain! It's honestly unbelievable. 15lbs within a few days. It can be pretty disheartening but also motivating to change my eating habits and lower how much insulin I require. Thanks for such informative videos!

@@travisli-rufus1949 I don't know for certain, but I think certain people develop it from lifestyle choices, as in eating too frequently and too high carbs/sugars for those meals, basically overstimulating insulin production. I'm unsure whether the body will then learn to ignore the insulin causing the blood sugars to raise, or if it causes low blood sugars due to the presence of the insulin, or if both end up happening, first low blood sugars then eventually high blood sugars. I've heard the pancreas can also 'burn out' due to being forced to excessively produce insulin.

We don't eat meat and dairy together and we also wait 6 hours between them. Eggs and fish are neutral, so I usually use that as a transition meal eaten 5 hours after meat, but I should try it as a dairy meal sometime.

Just found your channel and appreciate your science backed approach. Well I’m a guy and older and your comments on walking vs running triggered me to ask if you’re saying you would recommend NOT including exhausting HIIT routines in my weight loss efforts? I’m 57 and 180lbs looking to release about 15lbs. Should I then concentrate on walking/weight training and diet? And not bring in more anaerobic exercise like HIIT type circuit training?

Hi Zane! Welcome to the AENpeeps!🤓 HIIT can be used in a workout routine, the problem comes in when it’s used daily (just like with daily longer runs). Using HIIT strategically 1-2 times per week and allowing proper rest and repair between the workouts is essential when using HIIT.

Thank you so much for these videos, I'm learning so much here! I wanted to ask if skyr would do the same as greek yoghurt? Here in Iceland, unflavoured skyr is much cheaper than unflavoured greek yoghurt.

Hi Autumn! I really like your channel. I was wondering if you knew about the high oxalate content of several of the foods you mentioned? Chia seeds… almond butter and nuts are high in oxalates which is a concern for those of us with previous kidney stones. I would sincerely like to know your thoughts about this . Thank you! 🌷

Hi Autumn! I love you videos, especially this one. How about feta cheese? I know it is not a type of hard cheese, but I am Greek I gotta ask. Is it a good source of protein and is it in the same category qualitywise as parmesan cheese?

Autumn, I'm a recent subscriber who finds your videos very helpful. I exercise and train 5 days a week, strength and cardio. Nothing on the weekends. I have Thalasemia Minor and recently menopaused and crave lots of chocolate ice cream and glazed donuts which I find extremely difficult to manage weight ..., If you have time and if it's in your area of work can you please maybe address this? Appreciate any insight/recommendations you may have please that may help me and others in the same boat. Thank you. I'm sure the insulin issue has lots to do with it as well. I feel I just cannot do intermittent fasting.

I made keto no-bake cookies last week, and used unsweetened coconut flakes instead of oatmeal. They were so stinking good. Added just the right amount of crunch. Great little fat bombs.
