Easy Warm Glam: 5min NARS Claudette Collection Try-On/Tutorial (No Talking!)

#NARS launched an ode to his mother #Claudette via a collection that features warm soft eyeshadows and an Audacious lipstick range spanning nudes and reds.
In this video I do swatches and demonstrate how the eye palette and 3 of the lipstick shades go on, so you can decide for yourself if the collection is up your alley, but if you want my detailed thoughts and time-stamps, they are below!

Lovely warm ochre earth tones paired with soft beiges and golds. This palette has a sheerer texture so it gives more control but if you like super pigmented shadows this is not for you.
The cornerstone shade is L’Ephemere, a red ochre, without which the palette would look like many other neutral palettes. So get this only if you think you will get use out of that shade!
Liberation(dark plum-brown) is patchier than the others, so use a primer if you want an intense look.

Satin finish medium beige with grey-mauve undertones. Recommend wearing a pink-tinged blush with this shade or it can create a sallow cast.

Satin scarlet with warm undertones. Some brown in the base helps to anchor the color so it does not go too orange on deeper skin tones.

Powder-matte rhubarb shade that goes on like a sheer veil and can be built up to semi-opacity, though it’s never fully opaque. Lightweight texture feels weightless but deeper shades can catch on flakes if lips are not in good condition.

Thank you Angelique!! I was not sure how the nude lip was gonna turn out cos it has some ashy grey undertones. But it’s got JUST enough grey to look interesting I think. But I can’t wear it without some pink blush on LOL.

Oooh I'm gonna be biased. The Audacious formula is probably my fave high-end satin, even more so than the ones from YSL, Chanel and Dior, although I'm partial to the YSL Rouge pur Coutures too. I've purchased way more Audacious lipsticks than any other high-end satin formula over the years. They have this denser, buttery texture that is opaque in 1-2 swipes without sliding around too much on the lips, have no noticeable fragrance, and last well for non-mattes. If you're going to pick one and get max bang for your buck, I suggest going for a shade that you will wear often first, rather than a "special occasion" color!

The mascara made your lashes really long. I love the two red lip sticks especially Claudette! I have similar eye shadows already. The matte eye shadow swatches didn't look good. Your eye look turned out pretty though.

Yeah, this is the older NARS formula which is a little sheerer and occasionally patchier with the deeper shades. It takes a bit of building and blending to make sure everything builds up slowly and evenly. I do wish they'd update everything to the new "elastic" formula! And you're right - if you have similar shades, you can totally recreate it without buying this exact palette! And oh yes, good ol' L'Oreal Lash Paradise hahaha. I love it when it's a little "dried up". Like about a month in. Then it REALLY builds.
