Can you tell me what to do if the swapped sky flies replacement when this is a video with a view from a car, the swapped sky flies forward instead of staying in place? I hope you know what I mean

Hey bro!! Just wanted to comment on your latest video in hopes you see my comment. I recently got mocha Pro 2022 but after tracking and then copying the track data to comps, my tracks are not sticking at all. I need help pls

Hey bud, before you leave Mocha make sure to go to the first or last frame of the video and click the Expand Planer Surfaces button. When you go back to AE, before you click Apply export - check that you’re on the same frame you expanded the surface to. Probably this will fix it.

You duplicate the video - click on the duplicated video - select the pen tool - make a selection - click M on the keyboard to bring the mask properties - click on the stopwatch on mask path to create a keyframe - scroll down the video and create couple of quick keyframes so the mask follows the ground. Let me know if this helps 🙃

why you did 3d traking whats the use of ir in this clip you didnt mentioned

You’re replacing an object in the far back. When the camera moves it will be more realistic. If you use 2d tracking you need to attach the sky to follow another object in the scene. If we set the sky to follow the building they will be on the same place in Z space, which will make the movements unrealistic. When you’re adding objects to a scene in different places on the Z plane is better to use 3d tracking.

Hey thanks man. You duplicate by holding ctrl+D. Or you can also use the old ctrl+C, ctrl+V. Hope this helps

did u skip a step? Once you camera track the video, how do you get the sky image on to the tracking?

Once you 3d track the video, then you just click on the 3d layer icon on any layer and it will become part of the 3d space. You don’t need to track each layer as with 2d tracking. When you 3D track you just let After Effects know where are XYZ, then you can just put objects in this space. You just need to find the right place to put them in, otherwise it won’t look realistic. With the sky I just push it back as far as I can as it will be in real life. Hope this makes sense.

Here's a tip - seeing as the title brought us to this video we know what it's about - to save everyone, time this video could have come straight in at 19 seconds on 'we're going to replace the sky in four easy steps'. We don't need the build up or the silly jokes, just straight in on the meat. Just saying
