In this quick and easy beginner After Effects Tutorial, I explain the best technique for sky replacement & removal. You can apply this technique to pretty much any shot and it will work. This technique is far superior to luma keying, chroma key or color key effects, and will get you the best results possible in a very short time.

Thanks ! with luminance, and horizon with trees during winter (so not ideal at all), i cannot remove white fringing aroung edges. I tried everything you mention, but can't remove it... you have an idea ?

Yes, you can put any background you'd like in. Still images and video backgrounds will both work!

He already had the effect applied, he just toggled it from off to on.

Not advanced at all. The foreground is on focus, the trees are blurred, and then the buildings are on focus too.
