    Could you make a video for the true beginner like myself; how to properly setup a float rig, how to properly fish a float rig, what bait to use until you can get your own row/eggs, what areas of the rivers should you focus on or look for, what time of day and Months of the year are best to fish.

    Hey bud, a trick I use to get the eggs off the membrane is to actually use chicken wire mesh over a 5 gallon bucket or a large Tupperware. Just rub the eggs against the mesh. I promise you it will be wayyyy faster than using a spoon. I can describe further/send pics if you're interested. Just let me know.

    Thanks for the video. BTW, there is another better way of separating single eggs from the membrane. Place egg skein in a warm almost hot water, wait few minutes, and then keeping eggs in the same water start to massage the egg skein. Eggs will start to fall off the membrane. You won't damage any eggs this way, and don't worry they won't get cooked.

  • @legalcop3
    @legalcop33 жыл бұрын

    a good way of getting eggs off the membrane without scraping is running it under warm water. The skein shrivels up and the eggs just fall off

    Skein eggs don't toughen up much even when river cured. You can scrape them into loose eggs and let them air dry which toughens them a bit, but in my opinion skein eggs are always easily poppable and make messy bags

For salmon and trout eggs I just use natural Atlas Cure and after the eggs are cured I vacuum seal them in jelly jars and just keep them in the fridge. To vacuum seal them I just throw a burning piece of paper towel into the jar above the eggs and slam the lid back on in a hurry. Stand by for a PM from me on your email.

    Borax is just sodium decahydrate, a salt mineral from boric acid. It's basically just salt that dissolves in water. It is used in such small amounts anyway and is diluted rather quickly. No harm to the environment.
