Total Salmon Carnage! Egg Fishing Secrets

Duane & Jordan Inglin, of Fish Hunt NW, invited Lucas out for a float o fish for chinook and coho salmon. The conditions were right and the fish were in the river. Duane explains in the video, the hallmarks of good baits of eggs. His curing specialties produce bites like crazy, and after trying those eggs - it was clear they are deadly effective.
Listen to Duane talk egg fishing and curing, see bobber-downs...check out both coho and chinook caught on Get'M'Dry twitching jigs. Amazing trip fishing for salmon, with a little bit of rain, and lots of fish activity.

Stupid question probably for fishers but I kinda just got back into salmon fishing and teaching my nephew. Use to go a lot as a kid but never really payed attention, just fished ya know. Anyway my question is why do fishers use spawn sacs as bait even tho salmon don’t eat during spawn. Years back, I remember my friends and me would just have a treble with some rubber baits and a piece of styrofoam with some weight 10inches down. And they’d just swim through it with their mouth open.

You can, but you run the risk of taking forever to land the fish, or not being able to stop the fish. If you're in slow current, or big holes you'll have an easier time. The faster the current, more rapids etc - more you'll want to go heavier. We'd usually recommend at least 10-17 10-20 for chinook.

Some people tell me to key the side of his Chevy, and others suggest finding the biggest rock and put through his window. Then the less invasive to let the air from his tires. This video we did a few years ago popped up. Thought I would read through comments, as I have not looked for well over a year. Reading comments like this one makes me laugh. How long have you been fishing Ben? I have over 40 years of river fishing. My info, is my own... I don't need to repeat anyones info as I have spent years curing and fishing eggs, with successes and failures. But hey, if you feel better by throwing out pointless comments, such as this, go for it buddy... 😂😂

And waste everyone else’s time while you take forever to get the fish in. Some river gets packed with people. The heavier gear let’s you get the fish faster, less taxing on the fish and, increases the survival rate when released.

It doesn't matter what kind of bait you have you can floss those fish with cigarette butts these guys are acting like the salmon eat when they're in the rivers drives me up the wall your camouflage snagging flossing. And that fish you showed was foul hooked under the jaw.

@@ianwagner4186 eggs are actually the flossers favorite thing because the buoyancy allows the egg to float above the bottom while the Sinker is bouncing off the Rocks which creates an angle with a 3-foot leader to be able to floss
