Easy Sewing Tutorial: QUICK Fleece Pajama Pants, How to Encase Waist Elastic As You Sew

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to quickly make baggy pajama pants from fleece fabric using existing pair of pants. This video will also show you how to encase waist elastic as you sew (as opposed to threading it through a casing after you sew the pant waist).
You can make the pajama pants from other fabric like cotton flannel, just overlock the cut edges with a serger or zigzag stitches.
These fleece pants come in handy in cold nights/mornings. If you make them big enough, you can wear them over your regular pajama pants for extra warmth.

I'm always hesitant to look up sewing tutorials on KZread because they always have special instructions for the newer sewing machines or require stitches unique to modern sewing machines. I use a 1963 Singer so this was such a relief! I love your channel and I'm totally going to watch your videos for help as I learn to make clothes. You're amazing :)

I have no sewing experience, hardly at all, and I have watched a dozen Videos with the same method and none of that made sense. Your video is the only one that truly made it simple and easy and explained everything that needed to be explained. Thank you so much I think I’m gonna be able to pull this off.

I love the way you did the elastic waistband. I've always made a casing first, inserted the elastic and then had to close the opening. Your method looks easier. Thank you!

hi! if we're making this using patterned fabric, when we're folding the fabric to cut it out (in the beginning), should the fabric be right sides together?
