Easy Programming - Steering Wheel Controls SWI-RC - 05-10 Honda Odyssey

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video covers Programming/Installing the Steering Wheel Control Interface PAC SWI-RC.
I watched other videos and this was NOT clear to me.
NOTE: I'm only working with the stereo connector in this video.
This is relevant for the 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey NON touring model(s). This one is a 2006 Odyssey.
This does NOT cover wiring the stereo.
This does NOT cover what's obvious in the PDFs & Instructions provided by PAC - the brand of steering wheel control module seen here (Recommended by Crutchfeld)
In this video, I program for Pioneer which seems to also be the brand many non-branded stereos use. These settings would likely work for any Honda Civic, CRV, Element from the same year range.
Also note - to install an aftermarket stereo on a Honda of this era, you'd also need a special antenna adapter and possibly some other parts for AM/FM to work.
Wiring would likely be the same for the Honda Civic, Ridgeline, Element of the same year.

Using the RC-1 (with the dip swtiches) which makes programming easy, but I'm stuck on how to connect these wires to the actual harness. Can I just splice them in without cutting original harness wires, or are there pins or something that need to be pushed into the back of the harness? Almost there, I can feel it! LOL

I don't like cutting factory wires, so I often slip a thin connector in the back of the harness plug. Jammed in.
