I own a lot of quick disconnects, the koolance QD4's are the best I've used so far. pastel coolant did clog one and made it not close, but that's more of a coolant problem.

i use ones made for boat fuel lines ...a bit cheaper and you get mounting holes if you want one side installed securely ...but look close some arnt close off valves lol

I have maybe that same, the 16/10. In Italy it's 60 euro a couple, and if you need more than one you should buy from USA. They work really great, they are great. You can use them over the motherboard without any fear.

They are so ridiculously expensive. Over here +40€ for male + female. Paying hundreds of euros or dollars just for convince, doesn't seem worth it to me.

I agree it is an steep investment on such a tiny part, i payed 2x 25 euros for the male and 2x 27 euros for Female, (or maby it was the other way around, not sure anymore) But now that they arived in the mail, and i Feel how good quality wise they feel, i really think Koolance QD4's might be the best on the market. For my shopping list the "Fittings" were last on my list to research, It really suprised me those fittings nearly costs between 5 and 10 euro's Per Fitting.... and i might need like 16 to 20 of those.... that was quite the eye opener, Watercooling hobby sure is not cheap. but i kinda see it as an long term investment, (not they become more worth, but more in the sense of sustainability of the hardware compenents. ) Then again whilst an GPU may costs 1000 today, and less than 200 in a couple of years, Its doubtful you will see the price of Fittings/QDC's drop, so they will probebly retain their value.
