My brake warning just started to display this weekend. My uncle was a mechanic and taught me how to do so many things regarding vehicle maintenance. I’ve changed brakes and rotors before but not on my gla. Now I’m ready thanks for this💪

You can do it. It is not hard at all. Just make sure to get the right, quality parts.

Very good! I just wanted a quick reference as to what I was diving into and many times the videos by those that have never done it, are often the best reference. Exactly what I was looking for. 👍

I just did mine and the blue sensor tab plug pulls off without having to remove the nut. I haven’t watch the entire video yet, you probably figured it out.

Wow, about 80k miles? Was the 'check brake pad wear warning' light on? I wonder if it's necessary to also replace the sensor.

No. It didn't wear enough to trigger the sensor.

Mercedes have to have rotars changed with pads they squeel like crazy if not

This is not for you pal , Best leave it for fully trained mechanic to teach other people. brakes are very important on the motor-vehicle professionals only not amateurs.

Wow. You couldn't be more wrong. Car repairs may not be for most people, but normal people can do them. I never said I was an expert, just the opposite. And having a novice perspective in addition to a more experienced one is what KZread is all about.

What a strange thing to say. Must be someone who wants to overcharge everyone for basic maintenance.

There’s a reason you have brakes done by a professional I have been doing brakes for 45 years you did not include in this video that the brakes need to be bled anytime you decompress the piston you’re allowing air to go into your brake lines they must be bled number to the rotors should have been replaced or resurfaced when you have that many grooves in the rotors you’re going to have several issues number one The grooves will cut into the brake pads and there’s going to be un even breaking one side may have more wear than the other side which will cause shaking when you apply brakes to the front end of your car it doesn’t cost much to take them to be resurfaced or you can buy a pair on eBay for about $50 if you havent already replaced them they need to be replaced everybody be safe if you’re not a mechanic do not Work on your own brakes, it’s life or death.
