Thanks you Kyle..... excellent video
Just did brakes on my ML63 AMG, thanks for the help brother.
Awesome Kyle W166 info helps me a lot. For the nex one, Nox censor change please!!
Best video on mb brake job! Thank you for giving torque specs but prefer ft lbs over nm and specs flash by a little too quickly. Look forward to more.
I wish you'd do a video on the oil cooler replacement
very detailed and helpful video thank you

Thanks again!
Great i just got my pads from FCP I will be changing my pads this weekend. How ever I will not be changing sensor it’s not damaged 👍🏻
Great video! :)
thanks for the professional video
The fcp video on the c300 shows greasing up the guide pins so the caliper can slide. Why the difference? Good luck attempting this job on jack stands. I could not get enough clearance to use a breaker bar and those caliper bracket bolts are on very thight. This is a very helpful video. Would like see some w164 and r129 videos too.
Excellent video! Editing: what a concept! (I’m a retired editor :-))You should do a video on making videos! So many online videos are full of so much uneeded information and chitchat that I usually have to fast forward or run the video at double speed. Yours I had to keep replaying because it was so filled with information. Thank you for the torque specifications. Almost nobody else does that. Again, job well done. Thank you.

Hi thank you so much for sharing this what about 2014 E350
Beauty well explained
Good job buddy, I am a Mb fans
What does one torque the lug nut too?
Why some mercedes brake videos advise grease on pads and slide pins and other mercedes videos don't, what's correct?
Amg package/midnight package affect brake pad size for the 20 inch rims?
good info.... 👌 thx.
I have an question at 8'22 the TRQ 85 NM for caliper bracket is correct? pls check it.
Ok great video. I have a 2016 GLE350 VENTED ROTORS ON TOP NOT CROSSED DRILLED, all the rotors for rear i see says for cross drilled front rotors i am replacing rear. What fits?

Hi Derek, if you are still having trouble, please email our team over at Service@fcpeuro.com
какие тормоза с 2 поршнями можно поставить на заднюю ось мл 164?
Great video, however, why are some sites/videos saying that you need to use a scan tool to "retract the piston actuator" first? Is a scan tool necessary, and if you don't use one, does it set an idiot light on the instrument cluster?

You can do it on service mode in the dash.
@xImmortalxLegend

Yes make sure to do that first
before you retract the piston back on the caliper, shouldn't you have the brake fluid reservoir open and watch it from over flowing while retracting the piston?

Hi Randy, absolutely a great note. That is a good rule of thumb to follow on any vehicle with any brake job.
Why don't you retract the cylinders on the dash in service mode?
I tried an 11MM and it didn’t fit. I guess I’ll find a 7/16 or T55 and give them a try.
I really wish they would use some anti seize on the hub surface from the factory

Hi Alex, any OE/OEM pad are great fits for the W166.
my car used a 9mm hex
Can I use the x166 Braket/caliper (this one on the vid) and swap it to a X164 ?, I want to use the 375mm drilled rotors instead of the 350mm solid one that comes in the 2008 GL550... Looks like the Braket holes are located at the same spot... Or.... Can I use only the 375mm rotors on the X164 caliper?... please help :)
Anti-seize on the hub face will lower the frictional contact between the rotor and the hub. This can lead to putting the lug bolts into shear (rather than tension that they are designed for). This is a very poor practice and could result in a "wheel off" while the vehicle is moving. If anti-seize is required the OEM would have used that when new. Please show us something in a factory manual, bulletin or TSB that states this is a requirement...
