Easy Greek No Bake Cyprus Doukissa Cake With A Condensed Milk Chocolate Ganache | ggmix
Doukissa (δουκισσα), Kormos (κορμός), Mosaiko (mωσαϊκό), Chocolate Salami (Γλυκό Σαλάμι) whatever you call it is childhood classic from Cyprus and Greece and always a big hit at parties.
This no bake chocolate and biscuit fridge cake is so easy to make even the kids can make it with perfect results. I have used condensed milk in my cake because I find cream and evaporated milk leave my biscuits soft and fluffy but condensed milk leaves my biscuits with a nice crunch. I also top my doukissa cake with a thick, silky ganache made from condensed milk and dark chocolate.
Orange and chocolate marble cake also known as geography cake that's soft, fluffy and impressive. The orange juice gives a strong sweet orange flavour and the use of orange zest balances the sweetness to take the orange to the next level. The addition of cacao adds a bitterness that balances the oranges sweetness but you can't taste it because the orange and chocolate work so well together that it just tastes like chocolate you want more and more of.

This dessert looks awesome. Have you had chocolate pecan pie? I’ve also seen recipes for bourbon chocolate pecan pie. I’m from the southern United States, New Orleans, Louisiana, to be exact which, along with Kentucky, is known for its bourbon so I... figured I may as well bring that up. Lol Obviously, you don’t have to put bourbon in it, you can just make a regular chocolate pecan pie if you wanna make it family friendly, of course.

Thank you for the compliment and the suggestions. I have never tried chocolate pecan pie but love pecans and chocolate and will look for a recipe to try. I normally add brandy to my orange and chocolate marble cake (the video is on my you tube channel) but I didn't add it in the video because I wanted to make it family friendly. When brandy is added to the cake the orange flavour pops and it also does when I add brandy to melomakaronia (a Greek orange and walnut biscuit) the alcohol makes the flavours stand out so I can imagine adding bourbon to the pecan and chocolate pie must taste amazing 😊
