This one actually was an easy fix. Great to see these sort of repairs, this could have quite easily become eWaste.

Yeah I’ve had to do this repair a few times on other consoles now. Seems those pin can easily come loose. Simple to fix though at least.

well my stupid brother mess up the SD pins while changing battery. now he can only download totk and botw with 32 gb totally E-waste

@@QTronics i could do it but the switch is already fucked up it have bending issues due to overheating and its 7 years old so we bought an oled for him but i will try to fix it this weekend, i bought some soldering lead today so wish me luck 😅

Ah yeah they do bend over time. Hopefully you can fix it though. Let me know how it goes fingers crossed dude

I have an old switch that isn't reading SD cards. I bought a reader replacement and I found it only works if I'm pressing it in firmly. Would you happen to know a fix for this?

Hi it sounds like very much like this issue. Are you able to solder? I would check the pins. As pressing firmly is probably causing the connections make contact.
