    I love Alivia, and her videos, but I HAVE TO mention, that while these dishes for sure taste good, they are extremely low in calories!! I'm a women, who weights around 120 lbs, doing weight training, yoga and I also run. I eat like twice-third as much for lunch, and for example I for sure use "real' rice/brown rice, because it gives me energy plus essential nutrients also! My advice for someone making these recipes is to think about your needs, activity level, how many times you want to eat in a day, etc.. I PERSONALLY don't like these low-carb solutions, but it's fine if you don't want to eat a burger bun/rice, I don't want to judge. I just wanted to say, that if you think you may need more/you don't feel satisfied, don't hate yourself for wanting to eat more! Maybe adding more legumes, eggs, rice, noodles, tofu, nuts, seeds, anything to make these meals more nutritious, and filling. (also, if you eat enough throughout the day and feeling confident about eating less but more often, my comment is not for you, it is for those who feel the same as me, and think they couldn't be satisfied with these meals!)

    Yeah I’d agree with you. I eat twice as much or maybe more. In the past, I’ve made the mistake of undereating which resulted in quick weight loss but metabolic damage in the long run. Hey guys to anyone watching, healthy doesn’t just mean low calorie. Please make sure you are getting balanced meals with carbs, fat, and protein. By balancing your meals you are not only being more healthy and getting more nutritious, but also staying full for longer. You can lose weight while eating carbs, fat, and protein. I recommend checking out some of Abbey Sharp’s videos because she is an actual dietitian and gives really good advice and information.

    Enma these aren’t too high in calories at all! The burger might be a little bit, but if you eat like 300 calories each for breakfast and lunch, and then a few small snacks, and then the burger for dinner, that’s definitely not too many calories at all, it’s even bordering on being a bit low (so you could probably use a real bun). And the other meals are really low calorie for the most part.

Also in almost every video this is said, but I’m not sure Netflix knows how much money they could make off of her and vice versa. This girl is the epitome of actually trying to lead a better life for herself and I don’t think she realizes just how much she inspires her viewers. No hate- I feel like some of these meals are still very small (even if you’re trying to lose weight) so don’t feel bad if that’s not enough for you and you need to increase the portions a little bit. This is just my opinion, even when I was losing weight I had bigger lunches than that. That being said, the most important is the number of calories you’ve had at the end of the day so it’s okay to have a smaller lunch and maybe a bigger breakfast and dinner. edit: I didn't think so many people would reply lol. AND stop assuming I'm from the US lol. I'm 5'2 and 115 pounds and some of this stuff isn't enough for me, that's why I got "worried" (I don't particularly have a high metabolism btw). I just wanted to comment to reassure some of the people who felt like this wouldn't be enough for them. Stop assuming that eating less is always good. Stop shaming people because they need to eat more than that lol. Everyone is different. Eating those meals might be completely fine for you but for others, it's unsustainable. Okay, when trying to lose weight, you need to be careful with your calories, and your portions. But I was able to lose 20 pounds and I've never eaten this little during my weight loss journey. Reducing your calories too much isn't good for you. Your body will burn your muscle weight to compensate and your metabolism will decrease. This will cause you to have to reduce your calories even more to lose weight, which is unsustainable, and you'll be a lot more likely not to be able to hold this on the long run and even regain all the weight back + more.

    I see a lot of people in the comments talking about how low calorie these meals are for some people, and honestly I agree but I also disagree. It looks like each meal is at LEAST about 250-400 calories, and depending on your lifestyle (activity level, etc) and body measurements like height and weight and also any other contributing factors (eg. want to lose/gain weight, have a small stomach, etc) these meals could be perfect. For me, 1000-1250 calories is my limit in a day to lose half a pound to a pound a week (which is a very sustainable and good goal, mind you, but others’s caloric intake will defer based on their BMR, NOT BMI) so each meal of mine should ideally only be about 300 cals if I want to include a small snack. Make sure to do what’s best for your body, and do the research!! 💗

    Aashika Gadkari I’m not your doctor or anything, but just in general, someone eating less than 2000 calories a day is very dangerous. You can do what you want, but I don’t suggest you do that, or if you have already, I don’t think you should do it again

  • @americxno

    @americxno

    3 жыл бұрын

    st4rph1re it’s actually not dangerous at all, depending on your body, I’ve done lots of research (and consulted with health professionals) and believe me if it was bad I wouldn’t be eating less. it’s a common misconception to believe that everyone needs 2000 cals a day regardless of what their body looks like or needs. like I said everyone is different and it’s important to do the research and know what’s best for your body. i am usually only mildly active everyday, sometimes not active at all. there is no need for me to put in extra calories that will just go into my fat storage because I do not burn them. without exercise or any movement I only burn 1350 calories a day, so I don’t need the extra “energy” if I’m not going to exercise that day. 2000 is good for someone who actually burns that much in a day, or for someone with the right body/conditions. Less calories also trains your stomach to shrink (without starving it) so you are filled faster and are not hungry when eating less. I am honestly a much happier and healthier version of myself this way, and I am in no way starving myself, I am always full and energized :)

Then add some chives, lemon juice, and red cayenne pepper. Stir that all together and spread on Ezekiel bread (ezekiel bread is a really healthy alternative to regular white or wheat bread because it has a low glycemic index). This is a delicious lunch and keeps me full and satisfied!

    Saltanat Izteleuova Okay they're obviously talking about Americans, specifically alivia is included because she made a video using the system. My point is that normal american citizans can't do anything. As an American, I've learned the metric system, and I think it makes more sense and we should switch over. However, I can't do anything about it unless I suddenly become the entire congress. People act as though all Americans are responsible for the imperial system being used, but we have no control over it.

    Just remember that weight naturally fluctuates up and down and you’re not supposed to lose weight super fast. Also when you are losing weight there might not be drastic changes, or any changes, on the scale, but still be changes in your body. Weight loss is a process and like so many ppl have said it’s a lifestyle change not just a quick diet. It’s about giving your body the foods it needs to function at its best. Also you will probably have moments where you feel hopeless and eat some junk food but that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Just don’t let it stop you from trying. Make sure you’re being healthy and safe and listening to your body’s needs.

    You aren't supposed to magically lose weight in a short time, it's a process that changes from person to person. Some, maybe like you, start off losing it like lightning and then abruptly stop for a while, but then starts up again, just more steady. Others take years to get to a healthy weight. The good thing about the last one is that it means those people build healthy habits that will allow them to keep that weight and the healthy life they started. Like Alivia has said, its not about losing the pounds and get skinny (which is a thing that shows itself differently in people). It's about the journey towards a lifestyle change for the better, and all those things happen slowly! Just take care, so you don't end up harming your body in the process (like it even shows up on the Glow Up Diaries, when Alivia started getting obcessed with the calories and compensating them with exercise). No need to obcess over it, take a breath, and remember: slow and steady wins the race! Good luck!

    idk if you look to be a full time youtuber or youre interested on improving the quality of your videos but i just want to say if you want to appeal to a bigger audience with cooking videos, you should be more considerate of how clean everything looks! in this video you make things a bit messy which makes it unappealing for the audience to watch + it kind of ruins the aesthetic youre going after. crumbs on the table and unclean hands are the things you should focus about the most if you want things to look a bit more clean and aesthetic. i also think you should experiment more with camera angels to keep the audience interested! small things like these can improve your videos a lot and give off a more neat and organized impression on your channel. i hope you could use this feedback from a long time viewer and you will keep improving yourself for the better!

    either omitting carbs or fats from meals, cutting calories at every corner (the pizza with no oil or cheese and no protein even.....literally less than 250 calories for lunch), using unsweetened almond milk which is like nothing, tiny lil bits of granola and coconut on her 220 calorie smoothie again with no protein......i mean overall the breakfast wasn't as yikes as the lunch but still pretty low and not enough protein. cooking with no oil just spray, and when the veg gets dry she adds 0 calorie water. the cauliflower rice meal was SO cringe it was literally just a huge bowl of veggies. No fat source, no starch/grain source and honestly hardly any protein even - the amount of shrimp she put in was tiny. the pizza has carbs so she omits fat. the chipotle bowl has fats so she omits carbs. the avo egg toast looked a bit better with a carb source, fat source, and protein source, but she didn't even put a top on the sandwich - just open faced with one slice of bread. that's not a normal portion. this is all stuff i used to do and obsess over so if not ed behavior it's at least disordered eating........if she's working out (and even if she's not working out) and really eating these kinds of meals, that's way too low!!
