In this video I go over a quick and easy way to make a cool Progress Bar Frame in Fusion! You can use this as a neat way to let people know when a certain shot is going to end, or just have a nice graphic frame to an image. And the best part is that you can save it for future use in other videos! How nice is that? Pretty nice, I think.

Ok, I take it back. I didn't know the bit about saving a macro, so I did learn something new. Good thing I watched until the end.

A lot of very useful things! I love making things once and then just using or adapting them later. I've never really done anything like that in After Effects. I like these automations like keyframestreatcher or these fancy scrypting things. There are scryps in AE too but it looks easier here. Thanks for your video!

I don't know how you feel about this type of video, if you are worried that they are too simple or specific. As someone who's watched a bunch of your content this is something you've already given me the skills to do. However, this could easily be someone's first video, someone who googled "how to make a progress bar" and needs to make a progress bar for some video and doesn't want to watch a bunch of your other videos before they can do it. So in that way this specific video is very useful. Of course, you probably already know that. But, uh, comments are engagement so I wanted to say something. My gift to you sir, thanks for the videos. lol.

Hey Casey, would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how to make a geolayers style video in Davinci Resolve? I love the nodes system in fusion, but wish it had the support that After Effects has. Map animation videos seem like they've become hugely popular over the past few years, so I think a tutorial on them would do really well.

That would be ground breaking... Pun unintentionally intentional... But seriously, geolayers.... Except without proprietary plugins that only fully work with dependency on other proprietary plugins all of which will have you sell various vital organs on the black market, just to get a foot in the door.

@@HumblyNeil even with the hefty price tag, I'm sure a fair number of creators could afford it, but I'm sure there's a way to produce similar results in fusion using creative commons assets, I just struggle with some of the 3D camera stuff, which there is a lot more information out on AE for.

Casey.. This is fantastic! Been watching your videos for the past year or so, and I've learned so much from you. I have a video suggestion for you -- how can you set up a word wrap template in Fusion? I can't believe we are into version 18, and there still isn't paragraph/word wrapping. Thanks!

Awesome! So am I to understand if I made a 5 second fusion clip with a motion or fading effect at the start and end you could use the key frame stretcher in the middle to make this a reusable and re-time-able doo-dad?

I still watched it, so keep making these vids please, I think sooner or later my brain will adjust to your fusion videos (or fusion itself). lol, sooner or later my brain will fuse with fusion. :-P

Hey Casey! Great video man! But one thing, wouldn‘t it be easier to animate the center of the mask that goes into the merge with vector result - and then on the vector result animate the distance slider with the anim curves and adjust the scale and offset under anim curves accordingly instead of using the keyframe stretcher? Just curious! Anyways, thanks for your effort!

Hello, I like your videos. I'm thinking of changing from VSDC to Davinci Resolve and looking your videos to help me decide. You said at the end of the video that you like to have "good ideas", maybe its more a question ;-) but you could create a video about this: What I'm doing in the last days is transforming some horizontal videos in vertical videos and I'm a total beginner in video editing, but with VSDC I learned how to "stretch" and "cut" parts to change from horizontal to vertical format. (please do not cry if you look some shorts in my chanel). Thats also possible with Davinci? Put a horizontal media in it and "drag - tear - cut" to make it fit in a vertical video? Thanks for your work

Hey Man, I use free version of Resolve & Beta 5 & Beta 6 has some sort of Problem with the audio of Files you put in the Timeline. The Moment you drop a Clip in the timeline, The Audio of the File that shows in the Green Box does not show up or produce any sound for few frames. In the Beta 3 Version it's all good, but what's happening with the newer versions, I don't know. Have you seen some like that ???
