Learn how to crochet a boho crochet plant hanger using macramé cord with this step by step tutorial.
This pattern uses 2 macramé rings and less than 60 metres of macramé cord to create a DIY Plant hanger using your crochet hook with 3 different size options.

Materials Required
6mm crochet hook
60m macramé cord (or 3 strands of DK cotton) - I used Hobbycraft Return of the Mac in various shades to create all 3 sizes
2 x 2" macramé rings

You can tie then and create a loop with them to allow the plant hanger to be hung up.
Hi -- in US. what weight cord do I need? I purchased 3mm Cotton Macramé Cord per the US printed directions, and it is so thick and hard to work. I'm new to crocheting with macramé cord; did I get the wrong kind? Also, for the 2 inch wood ring: is the 2inch measure on the outside or inside of the ring? Yikes! Thanks.

It can be tough to work with - it can be stiff and hard work on the hands. The one I use is designed to be slightly softer than normal macrame cord. I’ve tried out the Lion Brand Mac-re-me which is very similar to what I use. The 2” ring is measured across the middle of the ring from the outside. Hope that helps 😊
