    Why you do not write the instructions? The reason is because if I want to make more than one bag, I will just copy the instruction in a card, so I do not have to watch the video each time I want to make another bag.

    Why do you turn at the end of the round ?

  • @CosyRosieCrochet
    @CosyRosieCrochet12 күн бұрын

    There are 2 reasons for turning. The first is to ensure the pattern looks the same when adding the rows for the back and length portion of the pattern. The second is to help create a consistent shape without any leaning in the stitch pattern.

    I am really disappointed after listening to your comments at the end as this was the first video that came up. I am a crocheter, needle knitter and loom knitter and the loose fabric of the hat is due to operator error, NOT the fault of the machine. Imagine using a US J Hook with DK weight and see what kind of fabric you would get. Common sense should have told you to go with #3 Tight for DK Weight.

  • @CosyRosieCrochet
    @CosyRosieCrochet14 күн бұрын

    I'm not sure which of my comments you're referring too. This was the first time of setting up and using this machine and I gave my opinion - not a tutorial on how to set it up, not use the machine to it's best ability. I'm sorry that this disappoints you.

    Many many years ago my mother knitted me a cardigan and a crew neck sweater. I confess I have washed both in the washing machine and dried them in the dryer more than a few times. The yarn must be super resilient because they still look great. Of course, I shudder now at what I did and I am much more careful these days. My mom passed away 15 years ago and these sweaters are precious reminders of her and her craft. Until I started to crochet I didn’t realize how much time, energy, and care goes into handmade items. Great video!

    Hi Rosie, thanks for the video. I've seen this in Shein and wasn't sure how useful it would be. I crochet hats so apart from the speed I wasn't sure why I'd need it. The panels would be useful though like you mentioned. Can you make the circular knitted tube bigger or smaller or is it just 1 setting to that diameter? 😊

  • @CosyRosieCrochet
    @CosyRosieCrochet24 күн бұрын

    The speed is a big determining feature for many - but crochet hats work up so quickly. The circular tubes are just one size - there are brands that are available with a different number of needles such as the Addi machines.

    It's just on the end of the row where you will work those 2 dc. Chain multiples of 10 such as 30, 50, 200 - you will then add 4 more chains to the end of that chain to follow the tutorial and repeat the first section to the end, where you will work the 2 dc

    Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. It’s so well explained. I’ve made my panels and they are just joined together with stitch markers and I’m fairly certain my hot water bottle won’t fit. I just tried to fit it in and it’s popping stitch markers. The pieces are narrower than the bottle. When I google it though it seems a pretty standard size hot water bottle (I thought I could just buy a smaller one to fit this cover). Should I go around the edges of each piece with single crochets to widen them before stitching? Or any other suggestions? 🥲 thank you!

    Do you mean 41 blocks across? If so, you also need to add the 1st stitch of the row so you would do 41 x 3 for the chain, plus 3 ch for the 1st stitch which doesn't show on the chart, plus 1 for the foundation chain - hope that helps :)
