    I truly like this pattern and appreciate how you explained the process step by step and made it seem so easy, which it is. I have made a few shawls in the past, however I didn't like the end result, therefore I searched for a helpful video and saw yours. Thank you so much for sharing. Jeanette

    I plan to do more. The first handful that I have sketched out are pretty simple designs but I think they just make a lovely pattern a that is a change up from what you normally see. I think I have sketched out about 26 different designs. Now to just to hope I find enough time to make videos for them all.

    I finally had an idea for yarn I need to use and I’ve been looking for a more is open stitch the words? As I want to make a more lightweight springtime/early summer or around the house type cardigan thing. This is definitely the stitch I want to use for it! I like using stiches like this with larger hooks to get a more open and lightweight feel to what I’m wearing. Thank you for this easy to follow video!

    You will want to work a DC2TOG but skip a stitch between the two double crochets. That way you are eliminating an "arch".

    Wonderful stitch ❤ Please how do you make decreases with this stitch?

  • @WindingRoadCrochet

    @WindingRoadCrochet

    You would need to decrease at the beginning or end of the row. Work a DC2TOG while skipping a stitch between the two stitches that you are working into.

  • @WindingRoadCrochet

    @WindingRoadCrochet

    When working in rounds you would have to do joined rounds and you could work all in one direction or turn the row. I normally like to work all in one direction.

    Thank you for this video. Currently, I’m using stitch for a skirt. May I ask how do I implement an increase/decrease?

  • @WindingRoadCrochet

    @WindingRoadCrochet

    Жыл бұрын

    Instead of working a DC in a ST, I would work a (DC, CH1, DC) into a stitch. For a Decrease I would simply work a DC2TOG into the DC stitches and just skip the CH 1 in the middle.

    @@WindingRoadCrochet thank you so much. Especially for the immediate reply. As I waited I proceeded with skirt. On the sc rows I did my increases there . I’m at a point in project where I can clearly see results. I think when trying new stitches on a garment in particular. It’s tricky figuring out exact method of increasing and decreasing. Good thing there are many paths to a satisfactory result. ~Sage

    I’m a beginner and I’m just checking to see if you’re using both front and back of the stitches when you go across. Am I correct in thinking that the front and back are always used unless you see it stated otherwise? Answers from anyone are appreciated.

    Hello! How do you increase and decrease using this kind of stitch?

  • @WindingRoadCrochet

    @WindingRoadCrochet

    10 ай бұрын

    What I would do is work a (Double Crochet, Chain 1, Double Crochet) all in one stitch. It would add an extra 'window'. If you are increasing on the side to make it slant outward, then you can work 2 double crochet into the first and/or last stitch, then when you get to that spot on the next row increase again but this time work a Chain 1 between the DC.
