I've been knitting for 55 years & crocheting for 49. I can crochet for hours doing complex freeform designs but knitting is now making my hands sore. Looking to change my technique I came across your channel & have started retraining. At 63 I am always surprised what I can learn from younger people. You have the knack! Thank you.
i've never knitted a day in my life (been a crochet girlie ever since 😅), but i'm saving this for when i finally get some knitting supplies. your instructions seem very easy to follow! thanks for a wonderful tutorial - hopefully the next time i come back to your comments section, i've already started learning how to knit haha 🙏

I started with knitting and once I learned crochet I was hooked, pun intended. I only ever made knitted scarves so this will be a fun challenge
The measuring trick for the long-tail cast on is GENIUS. I have been knitting for a while but have always just “winged it” for the length of my long tail cast ons. I’m pretty sure you just altered the course of my entire life 😂🎉

Glad it was helpful!
You knit so fast it’s incredible!! I’m using this tutorial to learn the continental method AND how to use circular needles! My beanie is already 9 inches long! I just had to start over and cast 66 stitches instead of 56 because it was newborn size, I couldn’t put it over my head and I have a very small head. I followed a few of your tutorials now and I’ve noticed that you never give any gauge, so the sizing is always inconsistent and I always have to frog and start again. Can you consider giving us your gauge? And it wouldn’t give you any more work, you’d only have to measure a sample of 4x4inches on your finished work and tell us how many stitches and rows it contains! It would be so helpful, but thank you for your tutorials!
after crocheting for a 2 years i just learned to knit in 30 mins thanks to your video. So good at explaining
I'm so damn excited because I want to learn to knit so bad but I haven't found a knitter that I vibe with. My dreams have come true because I absolutely love your teaching style and crochet patterns. Now I can learn to knit like you too!!!😁
As a beginner in knitting, this was really beginner friendly, and you explain how to do it so well. Also I was surprised at how quick I could knit after doing a few rows. I would love to see more knitting patterns from you!
After years of crocheting I tried learning to knit years ago and failed miserably. Your channel made me want to try again and using this video I both learned to knit and finished a knitting project for the first time.
Google recommended this to me for some reason (you've pleased the algorithm I guess). I don't knit, but I've been crocheting a bit and this is a wonderful beginner dive into knitting! Thanks 🙏

Welcome!
For the first time ever I was able to knit something other than rectangle panels. And it turned out great. Thanks a ton.
never thought i would try knitting, it looked too advanced (i've been crocheting for less than a year,) but u made that look so easy, i can't wait to try now!
Your tutorials are so thorough and concise... I have made a few of these already, since your Vlog-mas videos lol, but for those who aren't knitters, you show and explain the process very well! That's what drew me to your channel in the first place, your top tutorials are so easy to follow! Thanks for sharing your talents with us Kelsie. ❤ These hats are so nice, warm and perfect for our stupid arctic weather we're getting here in Michigan 😂💖 I can't wait to see what is next. 😊
Please make a beginner's guide to knitting series too. I seriously need It and love your detailed explanation 💖
I just started this last night and had to restart four times but I made it to six rows when I stopped for the night bc I was determined! Definitely would not be mad at more knitting tutorials!!
Kelsie I just finished my own chunky knit beanie and it turned out so freaking cute! Thanks for the pattern and video! Brb gonna go make one in all colors
You are a great teacher. The way i "learned" to knit never made sense and looked terrible. So I crochet all the time. I'm 63 and going to get some needles and give this a try. Time to mix things up. Thank you!!
Iv'e also been trying to make a shrug but can't find any good tutorials to follow. Your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow and I appreciate that 🫶
I can’t wait to try this! I crochet but to knit a hat has been on my bucket list. Thank you for making this tutorial!
I've always wanted to learn how to knit. Thank you for making this easy to understand. I was able to do this project... it took awhile to finish but I got it. There are a few mistakes but not bad for a first time knitter. I tried attaching a picture but it wouldn't let me. I now have the confidence to try other projects.
I am a newbie to knitting after many years of not knitting. I love the concise and easy to follow tutorial.❤
I’m super excited 😆💜💜💜☺️! I actually bought my circular knitting needles 🧶 last month because of you. I’m so happy you made this video. Thank you Kelsie💜.!
This was my first knit project. At the begining it was a little rough but i pulled through and i had perfect stitches, thanks to you PassioKnit Kelsie. Over all it was an amaizing tutorial and verry beginer friendly. Thank you sooooo much
I have crocheted for years and have always wanted to knit. Thank you for this tutorial. It was easy to learn. I have made 4 hats so far 💖

Defenently going to try this 😊 Thank you for the tutorial!

Love this! I made two hats this way already. Thank you so much!
Cannot wait to give this a try!
This is something I might actually be able to knit! Thank you! I might try this, lol.

Waiting for knitting supplies to come🤭🤭 watching to mentally prepare myself thank you for making these!!
This tutorial was very well explained and ex£cuted. I will be rewatching when I get some knitting needles and give this tutorial a try. 😉
I am soooo gonna make this! Thank you for this tutorial! I'm not a strong knitter, but I want to be!
Love your videos

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 👌
Love it! Another good one! We purl the same way!
Now I know why I like crocheting better 😂😂😂 lol knits is a bit hard but I got it down now lol Haha
Thank you for sharing.
Such a beautiful beanie. I love it!!! Thank you SO much for that tutorial. I’m currently knitting a Hooded Cat Cape by Hobii. I don’t fully know what I’m doing so wish me luck!! 😅😅
Thank you so much!
OMG!!! This is soo cute!!! I've been waiting for this tutorial, can't wait to try it out!! I've never knit before, any tips???
I’m going to the shop to buy the needles ❤
That purl makes sense! I knit continental like you but I have trouble with loosey-goosey tension sometimes when purling; going through the back loop seems like it would help a lot. I’m going to try it. Thanks!
Me gustó explicas muy bien, buen video estoy aprendiendo y creo que este tutorial me ayudó mucho tengo que hacer este proyecto gracias ☺️ 🎉
I can tell you're a crochet girlie with the way you hold your yarn while knitting. I learned to knit at 10. But I do more crochet now.... I still hold my yarn in my dominant hand with my hook
Hi there !! I would love to see a tutorial on one of your tops! Awesome channel. Keep up the good work ! Just one of the basic ones. Awesome work ! I wish I could go as fast as you! Cheers ! Your dog is cute too ! Adorable.

I have been using knitters pride interchangeable needles for years and they are amazing! They were a gift, but I believe they were purchased on Amazon. I have the ginger set, but they have a few to choose from! (:
I was watching your vlogmas series and saw this! I searched everywhere for the pattern lol. Thank you so much for this video Kelsie!!!!! ❤ Oh, also, where did you get your needles? As a beginner to knitting, i prefer to use wood needles and it appears you are using wood as well?
WOW❤❤❤❤ truly amazed
Can you please make a video about how can we understand how many stitches do we need to cast on for any project.
Thank you for the tutorial. Easy to follow. What brand needles are you using if I may ask?
Nice and simple pattern, thank you! Noticed your CO is only knitwise...is there any reason not to do the CO in rib? Or will that make the folded-up edge TOO stretchy?
May I ask where you got you’re knitting needles from? I’m trying to buy a set and not sure if I should do Amazon or hobbi
I made two granny hats w pom pom and one I crochet with pom pom. Like it much better. 50 chain 42 rows😊

Hi kelsie I hope you see this not sure how to email you. Can you please tell me how big I should make a men's beanie. I love this video Ive made so many
Not sure if this was asked but if I have bulky yarn could I use it to make the beanie?
@FueledByYarn

I’d like to know as well!! I think this would equate to super bulky(6) but I want to use a bulky(5) but don’t want to have insane gauge
Hi kelsie i have a question I'm new to knitting beanies hat and i love watching your video and showing how you make it. My question is i cast on 56 stitches and you said your was 45 rows but when i do it my measured 37 rows. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong please.
@sofiadeangelis4431

might be because your yarn is bigger, or you have a loser tension just try knitting more tight or use smaller yarn and that should fix the problem hope this helps
This is great! I’m just learning to knit and I would love to know what needles you are using!

Can you do a knitting tutorial for begginers?
My first try to knit a hat and I keep messing up .. when I try to go to the second round it starts to make a gap between start and end .. does anyone have any tips to keep the ends close together??
How long for kids
does anyone know which knitting needles are those? mines are too long which makes it hard to separate the cable side too much , i feel like hers are quite smaller in length
@shaniceleader2539

they're 8mm (thick) 16" (cable)
I love your work😄. I would like to see you try Crochet a bathing suit😊
Can I make this using only knit stitch? Currently learning how to knit and want to practice first. Just wondering if it will turn out the same (minus the stitch pattern).

As long as you don’t double up on yarn and use appropriate sized needles I don’t see why not. Although I’m a crocheter not a knitter so take what I say with a grain of salt lol
Is there a way you can do it for right handed people because I’m confused as to how you connect it

@@PassioKnitKelsie okay thanks, I guess I have been knitting differently to others and I have never used long corded needles before so maybe that is why I’m more confused
Do we think I can just use a random size needles? I don’t wanna buy a new pair of circular needles until I know I wanna do this more than once but I know mine aren’t that thick
