Easy Chile Relleno Casserole

Chile Rellenos has always been one of my favorite dishes, but making them is a long process. Today I am demonstrating a quick and easier way how you can enjoy the same taste in much less time.
I used Queso Asadero, an excellent melting cheese, for this recipe, but you can use any other cheese of your choice. You can also saute shrimp with your favorite seasonings and add a layer of shrimp, which is entirely up to you, and make it as unique to your taste and liking. To go with our casserole in this same video, I also shared the rice recipe and the sauce to go with the casserole.
Ingredients:
6-8 Poblano Peppers
Vegetable Oil as needed
1 Lb Queso Asadero or a Melting Cheese of your Choice
5 Large Eggs
Seasonings for the egg mixture:
1 Tbsp Tomato Chicken Bouillon
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Paprika, Salt
3 Oz Mexican Blend Cheese
Ingredients for the quick rice recipe:
2 Cups Long Grain White Rice or Jasmin Rice
One Minced Garlic Clove
1/4 Onion
4 Cups of Water, Vegetable, or Chicken Broth
1 Tbsp Tomato Chicken Bouillon or salt as needed
1 Tsp NM Chili Powder
1 Cup Frozen Unthaweed Peas and Carrots
3-4 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
Ingredients for the sauce:
2 Garlic Cloves
1/4 White Onion
2 Roma Tomatoes
2 Cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
1/4 Cup
Salt and Pepper to your taste
1/4 Tsp Cumin
1 Cup Heavy Cream, Mexican Sour Cream, or 4oz Cream Cheese

It looks absolutely delicious! Putting the seasoning in the eggs before mixing is a much better idea so that flavoring the casserole is much more even. I love the idea of adding shrimp. Can’t wait to make it. Thank you for sharing this! 😋

Hi. I really liked your video. I’m trying it right now. I’m a bit confused bc it seems like u added a lot more that a tablespoon of chicken buillon and a 1/2 tsp of salt, garlic salt, paprika and pepper. It seems like u added the contents of three small bowls. I’m attempting it right now just like your written recipe says. I hope it turns out well. If you added other things, please share a me so that it comes out better next time. Thanks.

Hi, I just made this recipe, And it was delicious. just one question in your video you poured I’m not sure if it’s flour into your egg whites when you put all the seasoning it wasn’t on your list, was flour included? also when I cut into the casserole, is there supposed to be liquid on the bottom?

No I didn’t I just wondering because the egg white fluff separated when I put in the egg yolks in with the other ingredients, it so I wasn’t sure if the flour hold the egg whites to it texture.
Did you add flour to the egg mixture? It's not listed in the ingredients, but it looks like it in the video
The chipotle peppers with adobo sauce where would I buy those or find them, I shopped at Food 4 Less a lot, and they have a lot of Mexican product. Your sauce looks the best! I want to try your method
Has anyone figured out if she added flour, and if so, how much and what type? I would LOVE to try this, although it’s not a whole lot different, it looks better than the Chile Relleno Casserole I’ve made in the past.

Based on the small bowl in the video it looked like it was maybe a 1/4 cup or 1/3 cup of flour to the egg white mixture.
What kind of Mexican cheese blend do I add to the egg mixture? Was the cheese you added cotija cheese or different blend?
After the spices, are you adding flour to the egg mixture? It looks like flour after the spices are added

I questioned the flour too. It doesn't show in the recipe print but it looks like it's in the video. Thanks for clarifying that. Much appreciated.
What temperature in oven?
Flour?? What kind? There is no flour listed on the ingredients list

I highly recommend using Avocado oil. Very healthy. Vegetable and canola oil is not healthy and is inflammatory.
