The colour pallet material has the be the CLEANEST way to add materials to objects. It's pure genius. Though limited in some ways, it's still a really useful method you can use if you do not want a wall of materials but still need a basic set of colours

Nice, a tutorial posted on my birthday that's awesome -- I really love this. Fyi, there's a built-in add-on called automirror, and if you use it, it will apply an x-axis modifier and delete the half of the model that's on the other side for you automatically. It does it all in one action it's really slick.

Continuing to follow your Beginner Friendly Blender Vids playlist ... Once again did this one on 4.0.2. No significant difference between the versions. Easy to follow with the knowledge from the previous videos in mind. If there was a mess up, it was always my fault I think. Like creating double edges on accident. Or not deleting a face in the middle so the mirror modifier goes wonky.

It depends on how you want them to look. If you want them to look like they are separate pieces you can do it similar to how I made the vest. Or you can keep them attached but extrude them out a little, so they aren't connecting to the arms as directly.

The second way is like how I did it in the video, except you can pull the edges over the arm a little. It's easier to rig that way. I'm still learning and getting better with rigging/weight painting, so I don't know all the best ways yet. And thank you!

The head, face (excluding the eyes) and the hat still have a bit of a seam in the middle from the mirror modifier. I think this happened because my head was a little uneven, i clicked the middle vertices and set them to 0 on X axis to try to align them. Now my face is like lined up but has that seam. I think the seam was still kinda there before I did this but I dont have an old save to check. Theres are no faces inside of the head (like i deleted the faces you said to delete) so idk
