    I think you may have forgotten or forgotten to show, how to put some lube on the center of the bolts that hold the caliper on so it can move slightly as the pads grab. Also maybe tiny bit of medium strength thread locker on the threads too for added safety? Just a thought, as i haven't had to do the front pads yet but will be doing the rear pads tomorrow on our 2017 Pacifica. Good luck with your channel :)

    Great Video guys! When you jacked up the van did you use the hockey puck things on the pinch welds or do you just put the jack directly on the edge of the weld?

    Can u plz advise which grease is best for caliper sliding pins ? When I bought brake pads for my 2019 crysler Pacifica , they sent small packet of grease. I guess that is only to be used for brakes but not calipers .

    We have not. Try using an old pad and a c clamp to compress it. Is it single piston or dual?

  • @KevinCookAtl

    @KevinCookAtl

    @@JMRRebuilders It's a single piston, but it's got the electronic parking brake on there too so it's one of those that you have to twist. I've twisted it all the way until it hit the stop! Are you supposed to press it with a clamp too?

  • @KevinCookAtl

    @KevinCookAtl

    I just tried that and that did the trick. You have to twist it in and press it in (covering the parking brake and the regular braking). I feel like an idiot now. Thanks!

  • @JMRRebuilders

    @JMRRebuilders

    Hey brother normally I dont have to bleed after a replace job. However I am assuming you twisted the bleeder screw to allow it to be open. Also you might have debris or something in the bleeder causing a clog. Could remove and replace. Good luck. Not sure if this helps. We appreciate the support.

    Often times Brakepad Manufacturers say to "set" the pads after installing by applying the brakes several times in a hard stop. Do you recommend this or think it can actually be detrimental? I doubt the professionals do this at brake shops.

    Brake pad tangs or "squealer" with give you a high pitch tone to let you know your pads are worn down to the point of replacement.
