Love this! We have bluebirds nesting in our bluebird house I was given for Christmas! 💖

I loved this! I have a “thing” about bluebirds. For years I’ve loved the poem/song recited and sung by the amazing tenor Jan Pearce called “The Bluebird of Happiness. It always lifts my spirits when I hear it sung or even read it. I simply adore bluebirds and all they symbolize in life to me.

I put a Blink outdoor camera inside my WBU bluebird house this year. They are just now starting to bring in straw to build the nest here in Eastern PA :)

Brilliant. Really love the end bit where the second one comes in tail hanging over the chicks and it's almost like a mother trying to get the kids fed, daddy strolls in and goes "Eh, do you need me for anything love?" She goes "Ach, get out of my way would ya" and he goes "Ok" exit to pub for pint!!!! You're so lucky to get beautiful footage like that. Love nature so much. I could watch the birds for hours. I think they're so amusing. They lift my heart. We found two hedge sparrow eggshells a few weeks ago. Similar color to these eggs. We brought them home and made mosaic necklaces from them. So pretty.

I love this video! I did not know that the female bluebirds eats a good portion of the eggshells once the babies hatch. That's gotta be an amazing source of calcium. In my backyard there is a bluebird nest inside an old tree in (what I assume) is an old woodpecker hole. Their first brood just fledged! My BF comes outside wondering what the heck I'm doing out here for hours. I'm watching the bluebirds (and looking at bluebird videos lol)! They're just so cute and beautiful. I'm gonna set up a bluebird box either this summer or next spring. Thank you for the wonderful footage. I learned something new about bluebirds today!

Aww I want to start helping bluebirds in my yard. My yard is woody. I live next to a park and a half mile from a botanical garden. Both places have hawks, and crows. My question is am I wasting my time. I don't want to endanger the bluebirds if hawks and crows are going to make them a snack.

The more eggs I see in a nest, the greater the chances are of there being trouble for the last few hatchlings. They are more likely to be starved out, trampled on, etc.

PLEASE make a movie about frying them alive! They are so cute, cute ad funny baby snacks!

Egg 3 was interesting. I have been filming my bluebirds for many years and every time the female eats the shells.

We actually had a professional company install a tiny security camera inside this box. It's a Hikvision product and it's been awesome!!!

Did I see mama giving egg number 2 a helping hand by pecking shell?

We modified the box with screens near the vent holes to allow more light! ;)

There are several suggestions for building a bird house: Give yourself plenty time. take advantage of ready made boat plans. (I discovered about these and more on Aviary magic method website )

I'm a beliver, but it is utter nonsense. Hatching baby snack is not proof of anything.
