genuine question, (Im not from Ireland.) If the north is mainly protestant and the south is Catholic, why do Catholics choose to live in the north, for example Belfast? Surely it would be easier to live amongst the Catholics in the south.

Not Irish , what a blessing , I do work for a Glaswegian of Irish descent , a typical Celtic supporter , his father from Ulster and he told me a few things about his Catholic conditioning as a child , believe me in Australia they would have had him up for child abuse , and it is high time that country recognises the mental illness that they bred with that sectarian drivel .

I find it a damn shame that Ireland and Britain separated with the military involved as always all the conspiracy theories come about and glorifying the power of barrel of the gun , Ireland you could say was established by the barrel of the gun brought about by a minority extremists hence you have this militarism worship going on , same in the US , and the right to bare arms issue and the fifty thousand killed every year , In Australia , Canada , New Zealand and countless other countries independence came about peacefully , legally , democratically , hence we don't have the military worship like the countries that were established by the gun , look at the difference between the US and Canada , Canadians and Australians would find this sort of behavior bizarre ,but not a Yank .
