Very interesting….especially as I have just received a new Mora 106 and want to keep it in tip top condition.

I really enjoyed this video. I was surprised to see how quickly the edge degraded. I'll definitely be stropping a little more often now. Thanks!

Very interesting. I would really want to see how a knife made by Svante Djörv or Kay Embretsen compares to the Mora 106 after the same stropping and carving procedure.

Great video, I’ve found it enlightening regarding edge effectiveness with relatively short usage and restoring effort. Your link goes to the model PT50A, is that the best model for this type service?

It's the most accurate, taking more measurements per second and to within a gram tolerance, but the other models would also work.

That's NOT Stropping. That's honing. Stropping uses no abrasive at all.

Stropping burnishes or polishes an edge but removes no metal. The green he mentions is likely Chromium Oxide, which is a 30 micron abrasive powder quite often applied to strops, so that does remove metal and he's correct. It's honing. The point of stropping is to polish or align the edge. T
