For anyone like me that made the windows partition too large and then later wanted to shrink and increase Steam partition, I found to do so I had to move the windows partition so that the Unallocated space was next to the Steam OS partition. I was then able to increase the steam OS partition. It was in his video I just didnt catch it when he talked about it being linear. Great tutorial!

Thanks man! Only video on KZread that explained this simply. Ps: For anyone that is trying to move storage from STEAMOS to Windows and get an ERROR you can consider this. I’m on a dual booted Steam Deck and my partition manager was not recognizing the space that windows was taking on the steam deck. It recognized that I had a different partition but it said 0GB used next to windows. I knew something was wrong. I had to REBOOT into Steam OS so my dual boot could recognize both Steam OS and Windows. Then, i was able to transfer storage to Windows and it started recognizing windows again. Hope that helps anyone out there in the same situation

This helped a lot. I got windows on it and an update broke it. So Steam has been helping me for 4 days now. Got it factory reset, booting into steam OS, no longer failed boots, but I didn't have all my space. I needed this to find the partition, deleted the windows one, and now have all the space back! You saved me! I don't think I'll be dual booting again, I have a laptop with me most of the time and most games now work on steam deck, atleast the ones I like to play.

If you are having trouble moving space from Windows to Linux, then make sure the unalocated portion is between the 2 drives. Just go to the Windows partition and move it to the right so that the unalocated portion is in between the 2 systems. Afterwards you can assign that space to either one

It'd let me shrink the Windows partition, but not the SteamOS/Linux one. I thought it was due to the lock symbol on it, but I saw yours has a lock on it and you moved it just fine, so I'm at a loss as to what to do.

İn 8:45 you must not resize that because is locked. Fake! You stop video there for second and continue then. İn locked disc you cant resize it and drag it. Shame
