I found that if you put a salmon in between the trap doors, you'll catch things more frequently

Yeah I was confused before... I had to make do with standing like 5 or 6 blocks away from my farm so that when I casted my fishing rod it wouldnt edit my sign. I think there is a way to make a sign non-edittable, though.

Hey, I saw this farm in an old video at 1.19 and you said we must make sure it reaches the sky. Is this still true at 1.20 ?

I've had a question surrounding these farms. Is the luck with catching treasure items the same in this farm as if you were fishing in a large body of water? 2 blocks doesnt seem like enough space to get much good loot.

u need 5x5 body of water to get good items like bow, books, and other rods

I'd recommend putting a fish in the water with the trap doors as im pretty sure having a live fish nearby increases your fishing luck.

My stuff keeps getting burned... it isnt putting anything in the chest...

I kept the sign where the banner is and place a solid block on top of chest throw a pail of salmon into the water Cast at the solid block with a 15sec timed auto click and bam 3 mending books in an 8 hour afk session Lure and luck of the sea enchants of course

They changed how signs work, you can't fish on a sign anymore.. you'll just edit the sign instead...

The lava is so that the bobber on the fishing rod will burn and go right into your inventory

This one isnt working for me anymore. It just immediately "reels" back in when it hits the water.

If you set it too click every 15-20sec then it works like a charm 3 mendings 8 hours
