Use soul campfires when possible a bit overkill ik. And only place 1 campfire cuz the items sometimes dont get picked up by hoppers

This farm is not working in the ground because of the many caves inside which iron golems are able to spawn. So I tried to build it above the ground (about 20 blocks high) and it's super efficient. So instead of building it underground, you should build that above the ground. 🎉🎉🎉😊

Alright so I had trouble with this but it does work even on pocket edition. If you are having trouble getting them to spawn in the hole its probable empty space in the ground. I had to move this farm 3x because everywhere I put it some cave was a few blocks away that I couldn't see. The golem would spawn underground underwater everywhere but in the hole. You basically need 10 blocks of solid ground in every direction to make sure they spawn in the hole. I Built this in the ocean and layer by layer wrapped it in cobblestone until it worked reliably. at 8 or 9 layers it worked but not always. between 10-12 layers I saw it go to 100% reliability all golems spawned in the hole. Also I added a 4th hopper uncovered making a square of hoppers because I was getting unreliable collection. then I added water to the other 2 empty corners and it works perfectly. Lots of adjustments But This farm can work for you. anyway hope this helps someone.

I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION!!! I did everything correctly, even replaced the barrel with a chest. I couldn’t seem to get the golems to spawn! After some trial and error, I dug down to the beds at the bottom, removed each and every one, I then placed them back one at a time waiting to see the green sparkles, if you do not see the green sparkles, break the bed and try again! They are hard to see sometimes so look carefully, I did this with ALL the beds and IMMEDIATELY iron golems began to spawn!

I did this and still no spawns and no caves within 10 blocks. plus wiki says golems pick the highest spawnable point once the point on the plane has been determined I just killed all the villagers and started respawning from the new baby villagers to see if that works... if this fails I am just going to build a villager breeder down river 500 blocks and slaughter the ones in the build every time and bring in the new ones... my first major farm is right next to this iron farm so it isn't a big deal to instantly throw in enough food for 20 villagers to be bred. the only thing I didn't try was going back to the original village and breaking and replacing all the beds, because I killed the original 2 villagers I stole

As someone that doesn’t like going to caves/mining, I approve of this farm, it easy and doesn’t require a lot of materials, also if you want to improve the farm, add a zombie near the villagers but make it so he can’t harm the villagers for extra golem spawns.

I’m on a island and I had to completely block a underwater cave nearby, just keep doing that, and build a lot of leaves around the area, eventually it will fix itself and work pretty well

I love the super simple design! But after testing multiple times for 10+ hours I can confirm that the drop rate is actually right around 150 iron per hour

@skolll-iz1rb the only thing I can think of is to make sure the area with the beds is completely surrounded by solid blocks because for whatever reason that affected my spawn rates as well. I replaced the barrel with a chest and removed the block above it so I could open it but when I did that the Iron golems stopped spawning. If that doesn't work, there is an easy design by JC Playz that produces more iron per hour that you could try

​@skolll-iz1rb mine out a tunnel around the section that your villagers are in and put doors in it. Not in a way that villagers can get to them, just one block between the tunnel and the villagers. Doors are required to be a village, this is what fixed it for me.

Make sure there are no green coats after they grow up into adults as I forgot about this. Also for better efficiency, don’t place the inner two campfires over the hoppers. Ingots will get stuck on the water side of the farm if the golem didn’t get over it and the one campfire and lava source is plenty to kill them.

People have said to place tamed cats next to the farm to improve the rates, villagers have a 50% of spawning a cat or a golem, if their are already cats however villagers can’t spawn more cats and have to spawn more golems

Yeah it works and you might want to get the villagers done with first to kill off the nitwits then make the rest of the farm And I added an auto storage system too because I'm lazy and it only took 8 chests 14 hoppers 9 redstone dust 3 redstone repeaters 3 redstone comparators 15 of any blocks To build the auto storage and you can get the iron whilst making the auto storage sytem This farm is fart man approved

It works, I built this a couple of months ago based on OinkOink's exact same design.

Like Luke TheNotable said, "there's always some tinkering with an iron farm" I made one in my survival world and as I was breeding the villagers I made a creative world and tested it and it worked flawlessly. When I completed it, it wasn't working at all.

So I followed the tutorial but made some changes. -Instead of aligning the beds like he did I made the lowest layer 7x7 to make the beds accessible and made a little stairway to the second layer -Put the fletching tables in the wall so they’re accessible to the villagers -tamed 5 cats and have them on guard for creepers by the farm With all that being done the farm works, however it is very slow. I tested my farm twice and the first time I was getting roughly 155 iron per hour and the second go around I got about 174. Not terrible for small projects but I may need to upgrade this farm at some point. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve rates let me know!

This farm is incredible. Great guide easy to follow, and it worked instantly. Highly recommend!!

I you're using composters like I did (to save on resources) make sure you're using bread to breed the villagers. The farmer villagers will recognize the vegetables as something they need to plant, bread will be quicker for breeding if you are going to use farmers.

Thank you for the video! The only problem I had was the hoppers not picking up the items through the campfires. All I had to do was remove the 2 outer ones. I left the one in the corner to kill the other mobs that are too short to touch the lava.

I had this issue. I just raised the floor the water is on so all items drop when they reach the campfires and hoppers

To up the spawn rate and efficiency. 1- remove the blocks in between the beds and add a small staircase on the side so they can sleep. 2- move the workbench into the walls. 3- spawn-proof the 16x16 radius so they do not spawn outside. (Leaves, slabs, carpets, or glass in a grid pattern.) Hope this helps if you were having any issues!

This will ensure nothing spawns outside the farm, and makes it less likely to have golem spawn in caves. underground. Also because you should have the farm 150 blocks from another workstation, bed or village- so why not on the ocean!

Thanks so much this is the only farm out of all the other farms I tried that worked, and occasionally, some mobs fall in, so I can get gunpowder from creepers, string from spiders, Bones, arrows, and sometimes bows from skeletons, and sometimes tools or armor if a zombie happens to have any, and of course, iron from iron golems Edit: I kept getting green coats when I was spawning them (I was in creative mode) it was so annoying and something that’s funny is that zombies know villagers are there and are committing suicide because to get them

This does indeed work. Spawned 3 iron golems before the farm was even done! However, all of them were outside the farm, so I still need to make some adjustments UPDATE: Building the farm over the ocean makes the golems spawn in the farm all the time, except be sure to have slabs over your collection room

A good way is to add slabs in a 8 block radius from the hole, you can do this in a chess board pattern to save on materials

Make sure the villager room is 2 blocks high and not three

To fix villages not spawning iron golems put a water bucket in one of the corners on the lowest block where they are walking put a torch on the wall and the the water on the floor stops the villages needing to go sleep otherwise they can’t spawn them cause they need to go sleep but they can’t also works better in the day

Tip: If ur golems aren’t appearing in the kill hole then they might be spawning in a cave somewhere underground. You’ll have to spawnproof that cave then. to spawnproof it cover the entire floor with a layer of leaves. You cant use slabs or any other block, only leaves will work

However this is the first time I have built it above water/ocean approx 40 blocks up and I am getting golems that spawn in with the villagers and crush themselves to death. Just in case anyone makes the same mistake as I did, the farm has to be at least 200+ blocks from any villages/villager trading halls or anything else that can spawn golems, I followed the instructions in the video and made it about 175 blocks from it (he suggested 150) and they were spawning in between the 2 structures

You can't have two golem farms nearby to eachother because of Golem spawn mechanics. The farm acts as a village, golems are programmed to spawn in the middle of a village (which is calculated as the average of the two farthest doors or the middle of 25 blocks iirc). If you were to build another one of these farms within a close enough proximity to an existing one, they would act as a single village and the Golem spawn point would move to be between the two.

Good farm, but I have to say, it's really slow, I did the farm 3 times in 3 different worlds, and I tested it AFK with a netherite sword with looting 3 for 1 hour, and I only got 60 iron in the world that gave me the bigger amount of iron out of the 3 tests, so I'd say this farm is not worth it(no hate, just trying to help people save time)

It's published that looting doesn't work on iron golems because devs foresaw the iron farms.

if you have trouble extend the space to 6by6 and add more fletching tables and beds like about 23 to 25 of all and only 20 villagers

I believe this may have been patched, and a new design needs to be released. If your farm stopped working, you're not the only one as there was a patch released October 23rd 2023 (conveniently when mine stopped working) may explain why Iron Golems do not spawn in the farm. I get cats (and other mobs) all day, but no golems. It is a good thing I have a whole chest of iron though, no telling how long that will last lol.

I believe the patch has to do with villagers accessing beds and workstations. If the workstations are placed into the wall so the beds are accessible, it should work fine. Mine still works, many months later! However... I need to know if it can be expanded 😢

shouldn’t work. because the game registers the 20 villagers, beds and work tables as a village. That’s the exact reason why the golem spawns.

No you must get 20. Do what I did is get 2 villagers and chuck a load of potatoes at them to breed. Takes around an 30 mins to get iron from there

Place a bunch of slabs around everything, make even ground, and if that doesn’t work try and see if any spawned outside and kill them

Nice video. Fletching tables are best as your villagers need to be "working" x times a day for iron golems to spawn and the fletching table is the only profession block that villagers will still work with in the rain. Why is this so? Don't know.

👍 this. Tried with grindstones in my survival world and it was pretty slow. Switched to fletching tables in my test world and worked way quicker

Im getting ok spawn rates (once i placed each bed individually and made sure they linked up and tamed 5 cats to stop the villGers from spawning cats). However, im getting spawns all over the place including INSIDE with the villagers

Works great, just dont build it on uneven terrain. They will spawn on hillsides.

Golem not spawning🙂

Anyone who is going to make it i recommend to do it in the sky or else you’ll have to spawn proof so much stuff i did it on ground and it barely worked but after in the sky works great

This farm is filled with lots of issues, first you need to spawn proof a lot of areas not just that tiny box of leaves, you need at least three layers worth of leaves to cover possible spawn areas second, you have to spawnproof IF you're building this by digging, its gonna take more leaves AND they WILL spawn not just in normal caves but water caves aswell, third the villagers tend to disconnect when they can't access their workstation when its all too crowded in the pile, they need to sleep then wake up to reconnect again to the workstation, but honestly that would cut production more than half of what this guy said. Fourth villagers in bedrock edition need to constantly connected to their beds, they wont work unless their connected to one and they unconnect from a bed when they can't reach a bed, putting it on the sides would fix it but it would honestly hinder more results as it well, sleeps. This is one of the few things java has such an upper hand with, villager mechanics in that version is so simple you could make 2 separate iron farms with just 6 villagers and have it produce more iron than any big iron farm you see in youtube for bedrock edition, it sucks but you gotta cope with what you have i guess

I build the farm in bedrock, is it worth adding the beds for them to reach (no iron golems are spawning in this tutorial)

@@camachozac1997 i did write that you have to spawn proof pretty much every single spawnable space around the farm, trust me, just make silentwhisperers iron farm + villager trading hall, its worth it, even if it does have more work time it is so worth it

Do not use a barrel, it'll cause a villager to attach to it and break the farm. Use the chest instead.

My golems weren't spawning.. just cats. Ithink its because my villagers couldnt sleep. So i dug a one block space around the beds and workstations and dug the center blocks out between the beds.. Made a staircase up to the workstations so they could move beetween the beds and the workstations freely. Also ised a double chest instead of a barrel. But now golems are spawning in the trap 😊

Could you have multiple iron farms close to each other to maximize iron, or does each farm have to be at least 100 blocks away?

You can have as many as you want but they do need to be 150 blocks apart each

@@artsproles4033 But to maxamze the potential you can put the farms in the spawn chunks so they are always loaded

If there are caves they will spawn in them also make sure the area around it is flat

I wonder if a mob farm could drop into the water from above, thus combining the two farms? I’ll have to build it in survival and test.

I dont see why it wouldnt work as long as your able to keep the other mobs from being flung out by iron golems. That is the only issue i see happeing otherwise i figure it would workj well if you get rid of the lava

Awesome farm bro but is there any way to stop the golems from spawning outside the farm? It’s just around the outside of it. I tried placing more slabs but then they go beyond the slabs😅

if you make this 150 away from a village will it still farm if you go do some other activities further away?

I havent tried this yet but i will, im just wondering, does it have to be 100-150 blocks away from any beds too??
