Gaia/Red zone and soul effect on gy works only for the OG RDA, Scarred and Scarlight because they don't say "a Red dragon archfiend Monster", they say specifically "Red dragon archfiend or a synchro monster that mentions it" this means only monster that are called specifically Red dragon archfiend and only them. It works on scarred and Scarlight because for their effect their considered Red dragon archfiend

@@dragonenderh.b1188 Red Nova Dragon mentions RDA in its text so it counts. Check on MD and you’ll see. Especially for Red Zone and Soul. It however doesn’t work for the other RDA variants like Abyss, Bane, SuperNova, etc because they have RDA in their name not text. It will work for the lvl 8 variants such as Scarred, OG, Hot RDA and Scarlight since it mentions RDA in its text as well as is treated as RDA on field. Hope this helps

This card is phenomenal. You will either run 2 of then to use the 2nd copy as a cost or you will send Scarred RDA from your field and Scarred states that "if this card is sent from the field to the GY, special Summon a RDA it is considered a Synchro summon". You already have amazing synergy here and thus red nova is now free.

And it's a free bone Archfiend summon since the 2nd effect can also proc in the GY. And being DARK also sets up Dis Pater as well.

This is bull why aren't we getting any rose dragon support or a revamped set. None of the other characters get supported it's Joey/red eyes lack of support all over again.

New Red Nova is actually pretty free, you get a bonus RDA when synchroing scarred DA. Theres ED space so shouldnt be a problem habving to play 2 of each

And you may actually free to get a Supernova instead in the usual combo since you can either banish it later or just do it on your opponent's Main phase.

This guy Is pretty good in earthbound, can send any immortal( even itself) and summon ANY earthbound from deck or extradeck (even not immortals) Crazy good btw great beatstik

Resonators could easily implement this card since it’s searchable with Crimson Gaia, and Scarred Dragon Archfiend is treated as Red Dragon Archfiend. It doesn’t specify that by sending Archfiend you have to go into Red Nova so on the opponent’s turn you can go into Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken which is potential major disruption if they try and to continue summoning from the Extra deck.

Scarred is “RDA” on the field. Couldn’t you technically send it to grave using this card and put out Red Nova? It counts as a Synchro Summon. So you could technically use make this play to blow up your opponents Attack position monsters. I could be wrong, but I figured I’d put it out there.

Doesn’t specify needing the original name so yeah. I also think you don’t have to summon Red Nova since so you could summon Geo Kraken which can be blowout against decks that really rely on the Extra Deck along with getting you a Field Spell search.

With card you can send Scared Rda archfiend to the gy. However since you are not using it for a syncro material for the synchro summon of a monster and sending it to the gy you are not blowing up your opponent cards just summon the normal RDA.

This opens potential lines with centurion variant, accessing a lvl 12 early while also providing an extra body by sending Scarred. Could make it you dont get locked early into dark dragons and make a decent turn 1 board with cosmic quasar and centurion follow up

Doesn't make either deck archetype stronger but makes it easier to bring out. The only play I can see with RDA is: Banish Scarred Red Dragon During your opponents turn, use Red Zone to summon Scarred Red Dragon Use Earthbound Immortal Scar Red to banish itself from hand and send Scarred Red to the GY to summon Red Nova Dragon(will need to test this and the after) Since this is treated as a Synchro Summon, Scarred Red's GY effect activates and summons out OG RDA and destroys all your opponents' attack position monsters.

I think the better play would be to summon Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken since that is a blowout against opponents that heavily rely on the Extra deck.

idk if the destruction effect of scarred dragon archfiend would trigger because it sends it to the gy, and then summons so idk if it's treated as a synchro summon. it is during the main phase so you could bypass the rda synchro and summon an earthbound fusion during your opponents main phase.

You are not destroying your opponent attack position monsters since the Card since Scared red dragon archfiend says " If this card is use as material for a synchro summon of dark dragon monster you can destroy all attack position monsters". Since you are sending the monster with a card effect to the gy it is not used as synchro material therefor you are not destroying your opponent's monsters. So the ruling you have written is wrong all you get is Rda and Scared of the field but no disruption other than an attack negate.

I just realized if you play rda with a earthbound immortal engine you can do the basic RDA synchro climb, special summon greater linewalker add the new immortal, banish immortal from hand and send scarred from the field to the gy to get either geo kraken or geo grasha. Keep in mind with RDA you'll have more than one synchro on the field most likely so that end board could be kinda funny. Additionally Geo Kraken gives RDA any field spell they want now so I could see something happening with this but idk what field spell RDA would want to use.

This has a 20 card FTK so it will easily tear up nationals

This card is a one of. But it will be very effective in dodging effects and board wipes to bring our red nova and in a RDA deck. Red Nova is pretty good if you can't bring out supernova. Combine it with Red Zone and you pretty much have a double attack negate and popping a card on your opponents turn whenever they activate a card effect. Running this card at a one of is easy pickens. Just a one of though.

Can't it use another copy of itself as cost? I am glad this card gets printed. I was requesting this card alongside Break the Seal, Super Fusion God and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Mamoth GY fusion

You can banish this card from your hand, tribute 1 Red Dragon 'synchro dragon" monster, special summon 1 Scar or Red Nova "dark synchro dragon" from your extra deck. (treated as synchro summon). You can banish 1 fiend type monster you control. Add this banished card to your hand Simple and it opens up the archetype for more Scar and Red Nova dragons down the line

getting it into the grave for rda is actually really easy so idk how it would force you to play bricks

They should have made the " summon an earthbound immortal" better. Like make it so it cant be destroyed by card effects. It can be a node to how red nova cant be destroyed by card effects

Yea definitely clunky for Earthbound decks but the whole point of the RDA strategy/deck is to keep him on the field. That being said this card be ok as a one of.

Idk if this makes earthbound better.. if they had more ways to summon and not be interrupted so easily it might be worth playing

Rda’s problem is not Soul resonator. soul would be busted in most other archetypes. It’s the fact that one has a bunch of old cards it has to try and keep relevant. The real issue with RDA is and always will be that both Red rising and Crimson Resonator are choke points. Calling any 1 card starter mid is wild to me

@@shadowofdimentio4618 Soul resonator is lady debug. Its not their "problem", its the best card of their new support and its something that could have been printed 4 years ago. Compare it to other recent archetypes starters: Snake eye ash adds a card, but then also summons a card from deck, and has 0 restrictions. Fenrir adds any kash, but also summons itself, has 2.4k attack and is a disruption. Runick Hugin adds the field spell and also has the protection effect soul res has, except it can be summoned by 10 different cards all of which are also disruption. The rda support is all simply bad, not good enough for 2024.

@@shadowofdimentio4618 you can build around red rising and crimson though, for example the white woods cards have effects to quick return a synchro to the ED to summon themselves: This would let red rising dodge imperm. Crimson wouldnt be a choke if the deck had any other way to turbo stuff out of the deck too. I mean fr look at the two dark level 7 dragon synchros they released in 2023: both worthless!

@@OsirusHandle Soul isn't the best card of their new support. Vision and Red Gaia are both apart of their own mini engine, which lets you use one to add the other and is splashed. Bone archfiend is a special summon that bins a fiend. All the new stuff is great, except it has to support an already existing strategy. Fenrir is an amazing card that powercrept cards like Mekk-Knights and is potentially ban-worthy because it;s too good and generic. The runick stuff was a clear oversight because they expected Runick to be it's own thing and it ended up being too splashable (the very thing they're trying to avoid with RDA and even then resonators show up here and there in other stuff). Snake-Eyes is tier 0 and clearly pushed to sell what with all of the fire support around them. The Rda support on it's own is good. The issue is that they need support from old cards that aren't good. For example, in a world where your imaginary card that sends Red Rising Dragon back to special summon itself. It would need to be a level 4 monster that isn't apart of an archetype because (WHOOPS, RDA has no archetype to help restrict it. Red is so generic that they weren't allowed to print of cards that searched 'red' cards), start in your hand or have a bad effect (or any effect) that mentions RDA to be searchable which gives it room for maybe one more effect. Also if they use imperm on Crimon now then your still in a bad place. You'd to completely revamp the entire deck to have cards you want OR print generic, splashable cards like Fenrir that might as well not be apart of the RDA archetype before you got anywhere near Snake-Eyes Ash. They do this a lot. The last one was called Rokkets which tried to fix RDA's mistakes and did.

@@OsirusHandle I want better support, sur. But calling the support we do have bad is just wrong. Like, act as if only the new cards exist go through them and they're all really good. The issue is that they're built on a bad foundation. If you can give me an example of how to make RDA meta using the same number of cards gained in the structure deck WITHOUT using any structure deck and making the stretegy the best thing, fire ahead. They had six cards to do so, and used all six cards to make a fun, non-negate heavy deck they were forced to make non-generic due to a non-archetypal lcok. Do I wish some of the cards were better? Sure. I wish they had given us a level 7 dark synchro dragon that just flat out replaced Red Rising. I wish we weren't so reliant on Crimson Resonator. But the deck needed consistency, starters, an end goal and couldn't be too generic otherwise Dragonlink would just take like 4 cards and do it better. Look at Melodius or Hero which got super amazing cards that other decks hijacked and used better. Both of those decks were already miles better than Resonators plus random crap or whatever we played before. Bystials are non-generic extenders you can lplay that work wonders with the deck (and were banned, limited or heavily confined because they were so generic and better in other decks). Blue-eyes had to literally ban the best decks and make every card a counter to the next best decks to be tier 1 back in the day. It's REALLY hard to fix an archetype as muddled and scattered as RDA and they tried with a lot of success.

This card not brick at all. If you have 2 of this card in hand, you can active its quick effect and discard the other. Better if you have three in hand, do it in your turn from hand and later from GY in opponent turn.

They would need a structure deck R to fix all the problems the deck has and even with that their last attempt failed so bad at setting the ground work for the SDR to succeed that i'm not holding my breath. The problem was that the last sd only gave them two playable cards being the searcher and the trap, the turn 3 bricks didn't help and the un searchable field spell that searches another archetype that doesn't mesh well with charmers because they require a face up spellcaster to special summon themself and are all about destroying your own monsters so the anti synergy is real and no i'm not going to normal summon a flip monster. The jump promo eda the sun magician was better support than half the sd and it was still bad, it shows how out of touch Konami is with the charmer fan base, either that or they are trolling. I recall people complaining that field spell should have been a hidden city or they should rework the charmers to be faster and give the deck a game plan/boss to work towards, because the deck is meant to be about attribute control not a bad green maju deck.

I thought this card was fake but iguess it real

As an Earthbound player I despise the art. There are still other Nazca Lines creatures that have yet to be made into Earthbound cards. Also I feel like the art doesn’t really fit into the Red Dragon Archfiend cards either.

Hell, thought it was some Zork card and got excited when I first saw the thumbnail. It's more Djinn than anything like the Red Novas or Earthbound. Although, thankfully, with him I can actually do some Earthbound Immortal with a Red Dragon Archfiend Engine without using the Earthbound Prisoners. Really didn't like those, personally

I Like The Art but He should have Had a Boss Monster effect since He is supposed to be strongest earthbound immortal. Cant even Attack directly so the greater Linewalker Setup doesnt Work

it would be cooler if this was like assla piscu retrain kinda card with exact same effects so it showed carly and jacks bond or something instead of pink ugly guy. like jack never used earthbounds or so but it could have been the bond or so
