it's not a timing error, it's a rhythmic mechanic called "displacement". Drummers often do it with snares in funk style drumming to change the feel. Given that this is a disco song, the drums are straight, but that lick is a holdover from funk.

i can see, feel, and hear the joy when you're playing. didn't even notice I started dancing and grooving along. love it
Fantastic. Love seeing the expressions of joy on your face as you play.
The smiles at the turnarounds - awesome. You just can't help but boogie to this song!
Absolutely amazing! I can't stop watching this! 😭 I keep coming back to this.
Still the very best gift I have found on the web...watch it every day at least once or thrice....what a pure and rare gift here

So gifted and sparkling ! 🍾
Liked and shared. Great Playing.
If anyone has any doubt about the dedication it takes to perform this an other songs, just check out how warn away the paint is under her picking arm...This gal practices plenty...Bravo!

You can buy guitars & basses with paint worn away in certain spots. They call it "road worn". Her fretboard wear doesn't match the body wear. Could be she has had the neck replaced but i'm leaning towards the road worn look.

The bass likely came new like that. Kinda like buying blue jeans with holes in them for an ungodly amount.
That's one good cover right there! sounds amazing! Got the right FAT tone for this too!
Excellent! Your passion shone through so much!
즐기는 모습이 보는 제가 다 행복해지는 영상이네요😊 이런 영상 올려주셔서 감사합니다!
Amazing! Congratulations on your dedication to the wonderful instrument that is the bass guitar. Without it, music is dull, weightless! You won a fan in Brazil.
You were breathing September air while playing this. I can feel it. Bravo!
Absolutely fantastic !!! I can't stop re-watching this !! :))
Loving this, don't stop, it's what we call OG music...
I wonder if making the "bad timing" in that one place in intro of September (like on the recorded version) has become an inside joke of bassists and if other people realize that it's there purposefully lmao I love your take on it!
Ça semble plaisant à jouer en plus! Bravo!
Wow! You really did a good job! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Awesome selection!
so awesome how you are having fun playing.
i enjoyed your cover a lot, i'll use it to learn the song myself too haha, such a great song to play
이 언니 손으로만 기타 치는게 아니라 얼굴로도 내 심장 후려치네.....아 진짜 너무 멋있어

top , toca muito o baixo😍
I love how every bass cover of September intentionally leaves in the timing error at 0:15. No sarcasm, that's actually cool.

That's not a timing error 🙃

@@NicolasJohnElder. I guess "timing error" isn't the right way to phrase it, but what I meant is that, instead of "fixing" that part, they leave it as it is on the record, which I think is really neat.

@@TotoDG I bet that was actually intentional to add some diversity and spice to the rhythm people have gone much much crazier to the point that it sounds "wrong" if you aren't used to the rhythms, but then it grows on you
@Chronosrlz

@@jalsol dude it's really (and obviously) wrong there is no "secret aprecciation" or "growing on you" stuff it's wrong, maybe the guys noticed too late and leave it there or maybe there is another explanation for that... you make it sound like Earth wind and fire were made by music gods instead of normal humans like you and me... the band is awesome, the music is legendary and this minor mistake is what it is a minor mistake.
@ForMindlessConsumption

it's not a timing error, it's a rhythmic mechanic called "displacement". Drummers often do it with snares in funk style drumming to change the feel. Given that this is a disco song, the drums are straight, but that lick is a holdover from funk.
love your Bass
아침쏭으로 둠칫둠칫하며 잠 깨면서 일어나기 딱 좋네요 감사합니다 ,,,👍
