I mean. I’m in my 50s and grew up with Madonna. I always loved this song, but had absolutely no idea the bass line was as complicated as this. This is ridiculous, and Julia is one of the best bassists I’ve ever seen. Totally mind blowing.

The story Guy Pratt tells about this song is a gem. He was called in by Madonna to listen to the final mix and he couldn't really believe it was him so he asked Madonna, "Who did the bass?" She said, "You! Dummy!"
Julia nails this beautiful Guy Pratt’s bass line and then some!!
This shit is lit!!!!!! Damn girl. That's talent just there! Thank you for sharing it with us. We are blessed to have you in the music sphere. Peace

Have you ever even listened to the original? It has some of the best bass instrumentals I've ever heard in a pop song. This cover is great but she does way too much. The bassist that recorded this played with Floyd and a ton of others
@daviddowsett8916

@@Terminxman yeah grew up hearing original and it’s still there whenever you want to hear it. Been there for 34 years. Also, if you want to hear Julia perfectly recording classics with very little deviation, she proved she’s the best there is at that back when she was a teenager. You can certainly feel JPG did too much in the first 2 minutes, but name me anyone who could make the last 3 minutes sound that dope. Tens of thousands of people will hear this track for the first time because she’s remixing it. View this as a remix. She doesn’t post that often, and when she does, people want to hear her go ham on a track. Because she’s consistently elevated tracks, and doesn’t miss.

Woo! Julia rocks fretless, too. This slays.
This makes me happy on so many levels! Awesome! One of my favorite bass players, Mike Watt, is a huge Madonna fan. He's a guiding light in the old school punk rock world, but he has no problem showing how much of fan he is of good music, no matter where it comes from. He loves to do Coltrane inspired ventures into the world of avant-garde jazz punk concept albums, but he still cherishes the fact that he played on a few tracks of a Kelly Clarkson album. Anyway, this is totally inspiring. Any musician would be lucky to be in a band with you. Love your creativity and sense of melody. Great work, and best wishes for you in your future!
Very well played. That jam at the end was absolutely stellar!!!
