Fanboy's are the cancer of the industry. They stood up for and made excuses for cosmetic microtransactions in AAA games and now they're tho norm, so the greedy bastards that the publishers are they're trying to normalize pay to win microtransactions and you already have useful idiots like that guy who wants to pay over 100 dollars for the full experience of a half assed PS4 port which will be forgotten in about a week or two.

Damn f###### right! Before time saving micro transactions I used to buy games, never play them and just watch walk through videos while driving to and from work. Because that was the only free time I had! The amount of people I ran over and or killed with my big, heavy 1970s V8! They didn't up the graphics. EDF Iron Rain is not part of the main series and is developed by a separate Western developer. It is a traditional filler interpretation that is released in between the official sequals. Insect Armageddon is another such example

I don't see why they couldn't up the graphics AND increase the number of enemies. I mean, just take a look at TW:Warhammer. Hundreds to thousands of highly detailed and varied models on screen at any given moment

@@sha2143 must be said that EDF also has entire destructible cities and every enemy unit will die in massiv explosions of gore and body parts or completely ott Michael Bay-style gasoline explosions. When the shit hits the fan in EDF, there is so much shit on the screen at once that some improved shading or details would be utterly wasted. The game is pure chaos.

Old comment but this game is actually made by Japanese developers, the only American Devs who made an EDF game was Insect Armageddon, back in 2011. The thing people have to realize is that EDF is a franchise, and this is a spin off game, if you've kept up with the series, the spin off games are pretty different than the mainline games. Hell, there was even a TURN BASED EDF game back on PS2, people need to stop saying "it loses the charm" or whatever, because the charm is always there, in every EDF Game, no matter who makes it. You're an EDF Soldier fighting off Giant Bugs and Aliens!
