This was not at all a run away fight. It was close and Plant went the distance and staggered DB multiple times. Connected with some great power punches against Benavidez. We need a rematch. I think it a gameplan tweek by Caleb Plant, he beats Benavidez maybe even knockout within 8.

Idk, David does got good tricks up his sleeve, but I don’t think he can knock canelo out. Eventually canelo will adapt and to his tricks and David won’t have much to do or show for. Although, david won’t let that happen so he will become more aggressive, but his power and aggression will be subdued by canelo. The fight really did live up to all the hype for sure, they gave us a fight to remember, Caleb started off really well boxing brilliantly and his movement was brilliant also, for the first half of the fight upto the end of round 6 I had Caleb Plant up 4 rounds to 2 or maybe even 5 rounds to 1, he was fighting a really good smart fight up until then, but as we all expected that Caleb would start of fast bagging them first rounds in and then Benevidez will start walkin him down and just let his hands go with all them power shots and break Caleb down and that's exactly what happened, but you really gotta give Caleb some respect for staying on his feet all the way up until the final bell and fighting on like a true warrior, guys got some heart, but you could see Benevidez really turning it on from round 6 onwards, when he started to really find his Rytham and close in on Caleb Plant, Benevidez's strength and power was starting to take effect and slow plant down and then is when Benevidez really came on strong and showed true grit durability and determination, but as I stated above all respect to Caleb Plant for hanging in there and staying on his feet fighting till the very last seconds of the fight, and it was good to see both guys embrace one another after the fight after all the bad blood and the trash talk that had been brewing up for the past 4/5 years, really wanna see if Canelo is a man enough to take on Benevidez now after this, he is his mandatory now and has been for some time, so we all wanna see that fight take place, Canelo should just forget about Bivol and fight Benevidez, him fighting bivol at the light heavyweight 175Ibs weight class limit is too much for canelo I personally believe, he looked completely worn out and tired half way through the fight against bivol, bivol is a natural 175Ibr and a strong agile very good defensive 175Ibr, he will most certainly lose again against bivol in my opinion, Benevidez's next fight should be against Canelo for the undisputed super middleweight champion, deep down Canelo does not want to lose all his titles especially to Benevidez after all the talk that has been going on between the two for the past few year's, will not be able to live with the fact that another Mexican who is younger stronger and undefeated is going to be the guy to take my undisputed super middleweight title off me, but regardless it will be a hell of a fight with Canelo having all the experience on his side but I still see Benevidez winning that bout, just imagine Benevidez being the first one to knock canelo out or atleast either stopping Canelo with a TKO, which is very very likely for Benevidez to do if he starts walking canelo down with thunderous power shots, but he will have to pick his power shots out with canelo having great head movement and for that reason Benevidez not wasting his energy on wasted power punches

stop saying benavidez is not ready for canelo or that he doesn’t deserve the fight ! We all know if they fight it’ll be a big fight it will do big numbers and we all will be watching because it’s an interesting and exciting fight , it’s probably one of the biggest , best fights that could be made in boxing and it will sell by itself ! stop hating on David you all know if canelo beats David it will add a lot to canelo’s legacy more than if canelo ducks him !

Amazing stuff from Caleb. A shame the judges didnt award Caleb the decision. David couldnt get past Caleb's stick for the first 7 rounds. Caleb was using little side steps and clinches to dictate the tempo. I had Caleb winning easy.

Yep, David may have won his rounds bigger, but as far as number of rounds won, it was overall a pretty much even fight.

Love canelo but I think even this is the fight to make instead of the Bivol fight. A fight between these two would be the super fight of the year. If he still goes for the Bivol rematch I respect it but I personally wanna see this before anything after he mopps his mandatory
