Plant is so much of a better tactician, David benavidez is just a fat kid who is able to cut weight at 24 25 years old but in 3-4 years from now he's going to be a washed up bum

Amazing stuff from Caleb. A shame the judges didnt award Caleb the decision. David couldnt get past Caleb's stick for the first 7 rounds. Caleb was using little side steps and clinches to dictate the tempo. I had Caleb winning easy. Good work Breadman.

I knew he'd be cool after the fight. He's a really good kid.

Caleb was winning the Eddie Haskell award for being polite around the grown ups but provoking David cause the top brass gave Caleb the high percentage of the purse and hasn't put the duke's up like Dave has getting people into his style getting called a monster was bad timing from the legend biter of flesh and spit Evaders ear back at him after chewing on it like he needs to be tranquilized and I was rooting for Mike but he lost all discipline with being a student of the art I thought he'd get back in form fight after fight and that was it. No Mexican Monster David is is ferocious but he has his style and breaks his opponent down with punishment talks to the reporters professionally but he's going on the fighting word's with anyone who talks about him when he's not there then does the Eddie Haskell when he is like your out of control 😅 white chocolate playing his role well he got Darell heated up too but it's about the skills.

Planet isn’t a special fighter a really good fighter and HE gets intimidated and bullied easily against nasty fighters HE always becomes the victim like a kid trying to stand up against a bully people think HE physically gasses out when really HE mentally gasses out even in some of the fights HE has WON

After the first press conference I think Benavidez recognized how badly he came off and changed his approach. During the weigh in he was noticeably more laid back. Shout out to David for taking accountability.

Why would Canelo not show up and make millions of dollars to beat up and school that young man. Hats off to David. Exactly how a man ends a chapter. Fights over, Beefs over. This was a good fight. High skilled. So far Benavidez has had that extra gear to go to when the going gets tough. There's some good talent at LHW. Maybe not the 80s with Michael Spinks, Matthew Saad Muhammed and the rest of that gang but enough to make some potentially great fights

That's the way it's supposed to be. An honorable fight in the ring and mutual respect after 12 rounds of great boxing. Tough and competitive fight until maybe the 9th round. Then David took over with his power and Caleb withstanded the punishment as the great and tough boxer he is. Great fight!

Caleb ran a lot and Kenny the ref is known for letting boxers run without warning. I think Plant is very good boxer but him running as much as he did plus not getting warned for excessive holding made it impossible for David to KO him. A true boxer can tell you how Benavidez really put a hurting on Plant even with all that going against David

Boxing is not a fight. Its a contest or a match under many rules. A fight is MMA, BKFC, Muay Thai, even kickboxing is closer to a fight. Where there is less rules and you are able to use all your limbs. Not just hands with 10oz gloves. 4 oz gloves or less.

Well congrats to Benavides a true champion and an inspiration to young fighters coming up. Felt it unnecessary to hit Caleb with elbows and forearms to the left side of Caleb’s head. Caleb’s fault for not locking him up better in the clinch.

He's built different, it's that simple. 🥊 It was like watching an underdog (caleb) outclass a Big Boss (David) but by the end.. the underdog just didn't have the Power / strength to keep it up for 12 rounds. In that regard, Benavidez is very similar to Canelo, gotta make that match up next!

Money is not the only facto that motivates refs to behave that way.

One thing is David is a pure throw back Mexican fighter, but if he doesn’t tighten up his defense before he moves up to 175, Bivol will outbox him and Beterbiev will send him to the shadow realm earlier than Joe Smith Jr.
